In less than 5,000 miles I've had 2 cracked windshields that show no sign of pebble or stone impact and cracked while the car was not being driven. Both cracks started in approx. The same place of the left and right side pillars. Each instance costs approx. $1400 to replace the windshield (includes camera recal). You can find numerous instances on the internet of basically the same thing happening to other accord (and hybrids) owners. This is a safety issue because it could affect the safety systems mounted in the windshield. Either the glass is speced wrong or defective or the design is torqueing the glass more than its designed to handle.
The windshield on my 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid touring cracked spontaneously while it was being backed out of a downtown parking space. It has fewer than 7,500 miles on it. I'm told there is a 4 to 8 month backorder for an oem replacement - the only kind that Honda will accept if I'm to maintain their warranty.
The passenger side windshield wiper keeps falling out. Also, every time when I use the wipers only have the passenger side window is cleaned prior to the wiper falling out of the holder. If I am in town and notice the wiper I will get out at a stop light to fix it but most of the time I am driving at 65 or more when the wiper falls out of the holder. This happens every week sometimes multiple times a day.
Left outside drivers mirror has dual use glass, very distracting and little use or value. Causes driver to constantly re-adjust and see double vehicles on left side of vehicle when changing lanes. The dual vision glass show be replaced with single vision glass to eliminate the errors of double vehicles.
I can't see clear image any object behind me because the rear windshield are waviness or curving around, steamy seems like you driving in a real hot desert area. I am worry about my safety because is hybrid car easy catch on fire and rear windshield are right above the huge pack of battery! the service manager of Honda checked & said every Accord Hybrid is like that on the windshield but not on regular gas accord. Honda can't change it because it might be the design of the hybrid.
