An ongoing problem with the tire pressure monitor system (tpms) not working as it was intended. I have received a warning indication, when driving, that my tire pressure was low. I have checked the tire pressure and found that it was exactly where it should be. Obviously, this is most disconcerting when this occurs. It happened this past weekend. Fortunately, I now carry a tire gauge and was able to determine that the warning light was in error. I have addressed this issue with the Honda dealership from which I purchased this vehicle new. Obviously, their "fix" was not the solution.
I and my wife just enter in highway 70 west towards indianapolis, near 156 exit. . I heard big sound without touching any object. My car was very hard to balance and lucky I succeeded to safe our self. The busted sound from driver side of passenger wheel. This car has new and bought only 2-3 month ago. And only 3300 miles I called tows by the help of police and t I knew when visited body workshop. My wheel rim ( passenger side - behind driver seat) was busted without touch any object. I didn't see any air pressure sign or any problem before this busted. This look seriously manufactured problem in this car rim and wheels in 2018 Honda hybrid. I would like to request for recall and investigate car all wheel including rims and tires. This is very dangerous defect and time to recall and fix the problem.

Tire pressure monitor system light stays lit without any valid condition to cause it. Dealer has reset it twice, but light relights within 20 minutes of drive time. Constant indication masked an actual tire failure which could have led to a serious accident. Tire dealer replaced ruined tire, rechecked all tire pressures and reset alarm, but again it re-lit within 20 minutes of driving time.
We purchased our Honda in late oct within the first week of owning it we hit a small pot hole while turning left on a country road. We were going fairly slow because we were turning and two tires on the passenger side blew out. Thinking this was just some weird one time thing we got both tires replaced and sadly within the next month we blew 2 more tires both tires on passenger side again. This time we were traveling about 35 and as we were entering onto hwy coming up the on ramp, we hit another pothole. Neither time when the tire blew did we only blow one tire. It is strange to lose two tires at the same time especially more than once . After talking to dealer we found that these tires have very thin sidewalls so they weigh less. They said this is to help with gas millage. My concern is if this happened at higher speeds this could cause car to roll or lose control. In my 40 plus years of driving I have never even lost one tire due to hitting a pot hole prior to this vehicle. So to lose 4 tires withing a couple months of purchase really concerns me. We have upgraded our tires now to the thicker sidewalls but I wanted to let others know to be cautious.
I have had 3 of 4 tires fail (blow out) with less than 20,000 miles on the car. The firs was less than 10,000, second I believe around 14,000 then the third at 19,000. Vehicle was in motion.
My Honday Accord Hybrid does not come with a spare tire. It just comes with a sealing kit to temporarily repair the flat tire. On may 30th I was driving locally and got a flat tire. I tried the sealing kit according to its instruction, it did not do anything and I had to have my car towed away. The fact that the repair kit did not work at the time of need is one issue. My main issue is not that, it's the fact that this car does not have a spare tire and I don't feel safe driving it out of town. What would happen if I was travelling out of state, and had a flat tire, I could be stranded in the middle of no where. On June 14 I wrote a letter to Honda corporation and requested that they provide me with a compact spare tire that I can carry in my car trunk. They called me back and informed me that Honda will not provide me with a spare tire. I researched online and it seems like other owners of Honda hybrid have same concern and they don't feel safe driving this car either. In any case I believe that this is a safety issue that has to be addressed. Thank you.
