Concerned about a knocking/creaking type noise made at stop and low speeds when turning the steering wheel. This seems to be a common issue and Honda hasn't acknowledged the issue publicly. But I'm concerned about letting it go long term if american Honda does not want to provide a rack replacement.
The steering in my 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid gets sticky. It resists movement making small adjustments, especially on the highway. It gets worse the longer that I drive but then goes away if I stop the car (like at a rest stop) but then reappears soon after. After my 2nd complaint to the dealership, the service manager states that he took it on a one hour drive and didn't experience the same issue. I called the dealership on 10/30/2025 stating that the problem seems to be getting worse. They said that they couldn't do anything unless they can recreate the issue, but could not offer me a loaner vehicle while they have my car. At times, knowing that the steering is electronically controlled, I fear that I will lose all steering when driving on the highway. This issue needs to be investigated to see if the recall that involved other VIN's of the same model needs to be expanded.

Steering wheel sticks at 12 o'clock, then finally breaks free to the left or right after applying significant pressure. The resulting jerk of the vehicle is very unsafe on the highway, and very difficult to maintain straight travel. Honda dealer identified the steering gear box binding and replaced it. The repair resolved the issued. Honda needs to issue a bulletin or recall on this for the safety of other owners.
The steering wheel is not a smooth transition from 12 o'clock to 1 o'clock or to 11 o'clock. It is as if the pavement is uneven or as if the steering wheel is stuck at 12 o'clock. This is not safe on the highway and especially in the rain. It hasn't snowed yet but I would imagine it is going to very difficult to drive it safely in the snow with this major issue.
Vehicle stalled while driving on a highway with power system failure warning. I could not accelerate the car. I had to take the exit since I was luckily in the right lane and close to the exit. Car was running on battery only at around 30 mph. I pulled out in the parking lot, turned off power and turned back on and was able to reach home. I took the car to the dealer, they could not diagnose the issue right away and asked me to leave the cardie to drivability issue. They called us back after 2 days and told us that they updated the software. I do not feel safe driving this car. Please take necessary action immediately.

Takata air bag, ima, power steering, and lemon laws broken. Everyone making 2005 hybrid complaints contact me at hubbcap1@comcast. Net for potential lawsuit for Honda violating all laws mentioned in civic lawsuit. We have the same rights as civic owners, the same problems, the same Honda corp. We can find someone to help us if we stick together as a group. Individuals have no rights - groups do!! that is Honda's view obviously. 2005 hybrid owners unite against Honda. The Honda service department still has not fixed my power steering - they don't know how! the ima hybrid still does not work and light still stays on. The air bag has not been fixed either. No issues have been fixed and Honda continues to deny our rights for a safe vehicle!!! now they are coming out with a new Accord Hybrid. When they haven't resolved the issues plagued by Honda hybrids!! they won'd buy back my Honda fair and equitable price. I have owned 4 Honda's and the 2005 Accord Hybrid was a lemon from the very start and Honda knew and knows it and won't do anything!!!.
