Car suddenly accelerated after shifting into 2nd or 3rd gear. Depressed clutch to disengage engine. Switched engine off. Hit emergency blinkers. Coasted to a stop. Re-started engine. Still revved up. Switched it off. Waited about one minute. Re-started again. Engine back to normal as if nothing had happened. Not much traffic around. This is the second incident with this car in two years.
Car suddenly accelerated after shifting into 2nd or 3rd gear. Depressed clutch half-way to try to slow car down without much success. Switched engine off and coasted to a stop at corner. Turned engine on again. Still revved up. Depressed clutch half-way again to move the car out of traffic into a parking lot. Switched engine off and coasted to a stop inside parking lot. Not much traffic around.
While pulling into a parking space, the vehicle suddenly accelerated and lurched into the air, resulting in a collision. The consumer's foot was on the brake pedal when the acceleration occurred. The dealership was not providing any assistance to determine what caused the failure. Also the driver's side seat belt failed to retract, it was loose. This resulted in the consumer impacting the steering wheel. Prior to this incident the seat belt recall repairs were performed 3 times. The air bag did not deploy as well.
While pulling into a parking space vehicle suddenly accelerated, and vehicle went over a retaining wall, hitting a building. Cause is unknown. Please provide any further information.
