1 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 07/06/2008

I was at a stop light and had the a/c running it was working fine and blowing cold. While accelerating the light I heard a loud metal noise and thump and the air conditioner started blowing hot. I took the car to a dealer and they informed me that part of the air conditioner fell off, the fan clutch????, I am not a mechanic but I have never had problems with the air conditioner an I know parts of a car should not fall off while driving down the road. The air conditioner has never been worked on and the car is serviced regular, the car only has 87,000 miles. I am being told it will be about 1,400. 00 dollars to have this repaired.

2 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 06/11/2005

Failure of 2 air conditioning systems in a 2000 Honda Civic, presently on a new 3rd system. Vehicle mileage is 35,000. Honda states that it is not responsible for the current failure.

3 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 09/12/2003

"black death syndrome"--where the compressor starts seizing up and shredding the a/c cluth into metal shaving into the a/c system. A very known issue to Honda technicians and can even get it fixed out of warranty out of goodwill. The a/c will just give out one day there and they will actually have to open up the compressor to see if this is the cause. Any year and model!.

4 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 07/26/2000

While driving engine overheated and consumer lost control of vehicle without a warning.
