Air Bag Light On problems of the 2004 Honda Civic

Takata recall-airbag light recently came on and stays on when ignition is in drive car moving or not. I was sent a notice through the post office that stated my car may have a problem with the airbags. Thank you.

My Honda Civic 2004 air bag light is on, and dealer will not fixed because my VIN number is not under recall but same time 2004 Honda Civic models has been effected in airbag recall.

My Honda Civic had an air bag recall, which I took the car in for. About 2 months after the fix, my air bag light came on. I had it checked out at another shop and they reset my light. It come back on approximately every month. It seems to me that it is suspicious that I never had any such problem until the Honda dealer replaced the air bag. They refuse to address the problem and insist it is not there responsibility. Coincidence I don't think so. I would like to know if this is an ongoing issued with other Honda owners who have undergone this procedure.

Takata recall: my air bag light has been on for about 3-4 months. And now recieving this settlement notice on air bags have got me worried. Can I take my car to a Honda dealer to be fixed with out a charge?.

Takata recall my air bag light has been on for about a year, after reading all this takata recall information. I wonder if Honda will take in my car for service.

I took our Honda into the Honda dealer for an airbag recall. They changed the airbag on oct 20 2016. After a few days the airbag light came on. They did a scan and now they say the seat belt on the driver side needs to be replaced. About $700. 00. I am seeing thru google searches that this seems to be an ongoing problem after the airbag is replaced. As this is a safety issue and seems to be an ongoing Honda problem I am thinking they should rectify problem or install original airbag back to fix. As this was a car only driven 5 to 6 months a year and then stored for the rest now that we want to sell we need to get fixed.

Good morning, we took our Honda Civic in for an airbag recall recently. Last weekend the air bag light came on and we return to the dealer. They said they couldn't check it out unless we paid an initial $150. 00 service fee and that it was probably the seat belt that broke and not the air bag but that its not covered since we now have gone over the 80,000 mile limit on their liability.

Takata recall- I took my Honda in for two safety recalls (airbags; 15v-320 and 15v-370) at holman Honda. I received a phone call stating the the airbag light was on and the right airbag impact sensor needed to be replaced for $357. 00. No lights were on when I dropped off the car. . . I'm concerned about this dealerships practices and charges for free safety recalls. My vehicle still feels unsafe!.

Takata recall. I have recieved mutiple letters concerning my air bag recall have had the care up there and have been told it's fixed, and I still get letters that it hasn't been fixed. Also the passenger air bag light has stayed on multiple times and they said they fixed but yet when I would go no more than 2 miles down the road it would come back on also the dealership I took it to did a multi point inspection and said my parking break was fine but little did they know my parking break doesn't work so how did it operate fine if I know good and well it doesn't. Will never do business with Honda again.

We have had the takata airbags replaced by the Honda dealer in bow, nh. However, our airbags are still not functioning as indicated by the airbag light still being on and the diagnositce later run (at our request) by the dealer. The dealer now ways that there is a defect in our seatbelt which is disabling the airbags. We thought the seatbelts were warrantied against defect but the dealer claims it is not. Please assist.

The airbag light remains on. The car is due for an inspection and I have been quoted it could cost up to $400 to correct the airbag problem. The internet lists numerous issues with the airbag light and no recalls have been issued.

Awhile back I got a recall notice for my 2004 Honda Civic VIN# 2hges16304h590663 and I took it to Honda dealership in homosassa florida but I dont think they properly fixed the recall because the airbag light is still on. When I complaained about it the lady told me thats my responsibilty not theirs. I wonder if they ever actually fixed the airbag recall. I have no idea the exact date. May have been 2014 0r 2015.

Owned a 2004 Honda Civic car. The airbag light has been on for several weeks. Heard about the Honda air bag recall Nov. 2014. Honda says there is no air bag recall with this car yet?! this is malfunction is definitely not safe at all. Someone has to be responsible for people' lives.

Airbag light remained "on" for almost 8 months.

The airbag light is on and will not turn off even after I brought it in for repair. It was off for about a week after the repair but went on again. Honda says there is no air bag recall with this car. . . I do not believe that this airbag is safe because of this malfunction.

Srs (airbag) light remains on. Seat belt tensioner requires replacement. The srs airbag light controls not only airbag functionality, but also seat belt tensioners; the things that hold you in during a crash. Honda will not replace the seat belt tensioner.

2004 Honda Civic. Consumer states safety defect in air bag system the consumer stated the air bag light illuminated.

My side air bag light has been alternating between going off and on and staying on for long periods of time. I took it in to the dealer as it is still under warranty and initially they could not locate a problem. Finally, after my insistence, they pursued it a bit further(the computer read-outs showed no problems) and discovered there is some problem with a sensor located in a seat so all air bags are disabled until the part arrives. I am not happy about riding in our only vehicle until they get the part to fix the problem.

While driving accelerator pedal became stuck, and vehicle smashed into a fence after placing it park. The air bag struck consumer in the face. As the consumer looked down at the instrument panel, all of the dials were at zero. (no gas, no speed, no hot/cold indicator) the consumer parked the vehicle, restarted it and everything was back to normal. The consumer said that she was making a left hand turn, then all of a sudden, she was on a sidewalk, pulled into the road and was across in the next intersection heading for the drainage basin. The consumer was unable to stop the vehicle.
