1 Brake Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/17/2014

My brake lights failed except for the middle brake light above the trunk. Both bulbs have been replaced as well as the fuse. All other lights including hazard, backup, and blinkers work. An independent mechanic has examined the vehicle and confirmed the problem lies with the brake position switch and is related Honda defect code 5ey00 related to vins that begin jhmfa1 and supplied with me with a Honda service bulletins referring to this. 2 Honda service associates have insisted this is not under a recall. This is dangerous, please help.

2 Brake Light On problem

Failure Date: 08/24/2012

Both rear brake lights stop working at the same time. Checked the fuse and bulb, both which are good. It appears the brake lights stop working after I pressed on brakes hard enough to engage abs in an emergency situation. The high brake light mounted on the backlite is working.

3 Brake Light On problem

Failure Date: 09/20/2011

Having taken my car in for a routine maintenance at 91,000 miles I was told that the brake light switch was only working on an intermediate basis. I was also told that a product recall was in place for same year make - different model. I'm having this corrected at my expense but felt it necessary to alert you folks to a possible defect in other cars of same make and model year.
