1 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2015

This is related to suspension. . . Three issue I have observed 1. The tires on my Civic 2007 have uneven wear. . . I changed my tires about 2 years ago and could see the uneven wear on the old tired. . That time I ignored it assuming it to be an alignment issue. . . However the new tires are also wearing out unevenly and that after after proper alignment. The last time I got tires rotated the mechanic suggested there is likely some faulty suspension. Now I firmly believe it. 2. I hear a pop/cluncking sound when going over bumps. 3. I hear a click/pop sound coming from the front wheels when turning.

2 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 01/05/2013

I have a new set of tires and I am surprise when you start moving it makes noise that seems coming from the wheels/tires and goes away when you slow down. It's more audible in the rear, I don't know if its the suspension or rear control arms that wear out during the years.

3 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 04/17/2012

The front left suspension began to exhibit a metallic clunk noise when driving over bumps. The concern was that this problem would lead to a total failure of the front suspension system. A Honda dealer assessed the cause to be a failed front suspension bumper stop, which has a Honda service bulletin, number 07-078 (NHTSA number 10043607), dated March 2, 2012. This technical service bulletin was accomplished on the vehicle.

4 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2010

There is "popping/crackling" noise coming from the front suspension, which is occurring in many other Civics. Seems like a faulty "bump stop" which american Honda should be responsible for because its happening in many cars. Secondly, the cheap paint which is used on their vehicles, they recently had a TSB on certain colors, its not only 3 colors which have this issue, I have a galaxy grey metallic which has paint issues on the roof like the other colors. American Honda needs to get their act straight or this is the last vehicle I own and won't recommend to any of my friends or family.

5 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 07/04/2009

I purchased a 2007 Honda Civic from autofair Honda of manchester nh and have had all oil changes and tire rotation services done with their service department. I have over 39,000 miles on the car. The autofair service department never once informed me about a Honda bulletin regarding the Civic's rear suspension causing rear tires to go bald, which mine did. During my last tire rotation on April 14, they did not notify me that my tread was going bare. On July 4, I discovered that my back tires were bare after realizing that they were making considerable noise while riding on the highway. I purchased new tires the following Monday from a local tire store. During my online search for new tires I found out that other Civic car owners had similar problems due to a rear suspension fault with Honda Civics. I then made an appointment with autofair to have them check this issue on July 13. The service department then informed me that their was an issue and needed to be repaired. Because my warranty has expired, I had to pay autofair to fix this issue. They put in the following part: 1 04523-sna-a01 set, upper arm rr. I'm upset that they did not inform me about this issue sooner. We've had a very wet June and my tires were not safe for driving in such conditions. Other people at the autofair service department waiting room have said they've had the same problem.

6 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2009

I got the car from my grandfather and it had about 20000 miles on it, after about putting 6000 miles on it myself I had to replace the tires and I always noticed the car was lous while driving and just figured it was normal and I guess I got used to it although anyone who rode in it would meantion the load noise(like having mud tires on it). Well after about 5 sets of tires(the car now has 120,000 miles) I just now (2013) started looking into why the car has a loud noise and came accross the service bulletin issue involving the rear suspension problems. I called coorporate Honda and they admited they had defective parts on the Civics and said I waited too late to complain!??? I even told her I didnt care about the $ I was out on all the tire sets I just wanted the issue fixed by them. She actually told me it was my responsibility to go to a Honda dealership and read the service bulletins and it was my fault that I am having this problem. This has to be legally taken care of!.

7 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 12/05/2007

Transmission for 2007 Honda Civic si seem to not want to engage 3rd gear especially when cold. Multiple occasions. Seem to have something blocking the shifter and it will grind the gear or pop out. Popping noise from front driver side suspension also have been experience on the vehicle.

8 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 04/15/2007

Slow throttle response since purchase, door glass rattle since purchase, the third gear would give resistance, which is a known problem with the six speed transmission. I patched the problem by changing the transmission fluid and installing a shorter shifter yet this is not a permanent solution. Honda has refused to repair the actual problem with the third gear synchro and at one point stated that it was probably caused by my driving, the problem with the vehicle going into third gear is a known problem and there is a technical service bulletin that Honda corporate has released for the exact problem. The headliner rattles, door gasket seal has been coming off since purchase, suspension popping noise in the front passenger side strut since purchase and the sound has become more frequent, the driver side visor was defective and was replaced, the driver door hits the fender when opening just started happening since Honda worked on my vehicle. I have been taking my vehicle to two different dealerships (recommended by Honda corporate) and nothing has been properly repaired. I feel as though I have been given the run around for the past year. Honda has made several attempts to repair the problems and has not been able to, they have only damaged my vehicle during their attempts to repair it. They have damaged the front bumper three times, the side of the vehicle once, the door and fender once. They of course denied any involvement in the damage, then repair it under warranty.
