Rough idling. Currently unknown reason.
While driving the dash showed a "12 volt battery charging system problem. " continued to drive to a safe location roughly a mile down the road and while enroute all the error lights illuminated and proceeded to state "tire pressure monitor problem" "brake system problem" "brake hold system problem" "power steering problem" and a couple others I don't recall. I lost my power steering while driving and my wipers proceeded to stop working, in a downpour. Contacted aaa who came and ran diagnostics which showed the alternator was dead. I then had to have my vehicle towed instead of driving it to work.
I brought my car to the dealership Honda north at 382 newbury street in danvers MA on 6/5/25 to repair NHTSA recall number 23v-858. The vehicle was returned to me on 6/7/25 at which time I was told the interior would have a strong fuel smell for 1-2 days, but that would disappear. After 4 days, the fuel smell worsened and the "check engine" light had come on. On 6/11/25 I returned the vehicle to Honda north. When I picked up the vehicle several days later, the fuel odor was minimal, and the check engine light was off. Today [xxx], the check engine light is back on. I plan to call Honda north to schedule what will be my 3rd visit to Honda north for this safety recall repair, which clearly is not being repaired properly, and putting me in further danger of crash or injury. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Signs of head gasket failure at approximately 67,000 miles.
Okay guys this is a huge problem with not only the Civic si but any motor car equipped with a 1. 5t engine (accord, Honda, crv) . My car is bone stock and I’m casually accelerating onto highway followed by abrupt misfireing( I believe and completely out of nowhere) and all of a sudden my engine completely explodes! literally engine parts on the highway and my car has next to now power and I barely was able to pull over to the side without completely smoking out the highway!! my car is bone stock never modified so we get it towed to mechanic and he says headgasket failed, which in turned destroyed the engine?! I do a little research and see 100s of videos of blown up 1. 5t Honda cars with blown head gaskets! it’s obviously a huge problem but I guess Honda doesn’t care right? please please if you don’t think this is gonna happen again to someone you gotta be ignorant ask Honda techs if they’re noticing blown headgaskets they’ll tell you they do sometimes 4-5 headgaskets a week on the Honda 1. 5turbo engine. Or youtube I’m not joking and this is a huge problem!.
Car smells like rotten eggs and now wont start. Also, the brake light keeps flashing on the dash. It started flashing twice while driving and now it flashes when you try to start it.

Headgasket failure at extremely low miles due to poor or flawed design. Vehicle has a valley between the cylinders where the gasket sits begging to be blown out. The low mileage failure rate is tremendous causing numberous drivability issues while on the road. You loose entire throttle control every light on the dash comes on. Every advance system shuts down. You loose every assist feature. It’s all of a sudden and random as well. Pulled out on to the main highway 52 and my car just fell on its face. If I wouldn’t have been in an area safely and quickly to hurry and get out of the way of traffic. It could’ve seriously caused a big accident. Pulling out on a highway or interstate with everything being normal then bam you have no control of the vehicle is a very horrifying situation to have to be subjected to.
I received a notice from Honda dated "February 2024. " the notice states that "the fuel pump module may have an improperly molded impeller. Over time the impeller can deform and cause the fuel pump to become inoperable . . . An inoperable fuel pump could prevent an engine from starting, cause a vehicle to lose drive power, or stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. " Honda acknowledges the fact that there could be an issue with certain of their vehicles, but later states that "[t]he replacement parts needed to repair your vehicle are not currently available but are expected to become available in the fall of 2024. " knowing that Honda wants me to drive a possibly defective vehicle for at least 6 more months while knowingly allowing me to do so with the "increas[ed] . . . Risk of a crash or injury," is extremely concerning. I contacted american Honda motor CO. , inc. Customer service and the representative informed me that she has "made a case" for me and that, "if anything happens, just bring it to a dealer. " she could not provide me adequate answers to my follow-up questions. Specifically, I am concerned that, if it does happen, why bring it to a dealer? Honda has explicitly stated in their recall notice that the "parts needed to repair [my] vehicle are not currently available. " additionally, suppose, as Honda cautions, the "risk of a crash or injury" occurs and I do not have the opportunity to make it to a dealership? I, any passengers, or any other driver on the road, Honda operator or not, could become deceased as a result of an "inoperable fuel pump. " I also drive a kia stinger and, as your agency might be aware, this issue was front and center with kia a few months ago. Unfortunately, my stinger fell victim and thankfully, I was in my driveway when it occurred. I am not comfortable driving this 2019 Honda Civic given this information and my past experience. This behavior and "notice" from Honda is evidence of their negligence.
Vehicle fails to start randomly in the morning everything powers up and the screen lights up, but the car doesn't power up fully maybe fuel pump issue.

I am not sur what is causing all of the lights coming on dash as well as all safety features being lost when driving the car. Right now it is but the light and warnings may cut off. Cr stalls at times. Hose keeps coming off the turbo causing the car no to accelerate in traffic. Yes, without any of the features working my safety and others safety is at risk yes, the vehicle has been in the shop four times in 1 month for the same issue they say its fixed but the lights keep coming back on and I keep losing all safety features in the car. This is an on going issue 7/31 had car serviced for issue 8/10 light back on, hose loose again, 8/12 lights on again. 9/7 light back on have to take car to shop again. This is the 4th time.
Gasoline mixes with the engine oil and causes the vehicle to stop / slow down to 8 mph while moving on highway. Oil smells like gasoline.
My vehicle had an open recall for its fuel pump back in 2021 but I wasn’t having an issue at the time of the recall as of 6 months ago my car won’t turn on and the fuel smell that is in and thru out my car is so bad that. I cannot drive it , it has shut off on me while driving , I took it to a dealership in fresno CA only to be told there are no open recalls , I clearly told them it was back in 2021 that I received a letter telling me of this but cannot locate the letter I did my research and my year make and model car has the recall but it’s out dated what do I do ,.
All the car has problems all dash warning coming up from nowhere it’s no safety the other day I was driving 55 mph power steering lock brake failure very un safety and if you google the problem I’m not the only customer with this issue it’s a loooot of people having this issues.
Blackstone lab reports fuel in my oil (acceptable for city driving} however all my driving is highway driving. Car has 22,500 miles, that oil had 4,000 miles on it and had 1. 3% fuel all highway! back and forth between columbus, ohio and wyandotte, michigan. Emergency breaking will alert and apply break with nothing is in the way, and will not assist when something is right in front of car.
Many owners of the same car are experiencing water entering from the hood scoop and dripping onto the 4th cylinder causing the coils and spark plug to rust and will throw a check engine light. Honda knows about it and won’t fix it. Clearly there’s a default on how the car was design and Honda should have a fix to correct this issues.
The starter was having trouble igniting the engine upon startup. The engine would crank but would not finish with starting up. I did this three or four times. Upon removing the key from the ignition and putting it back in the ignition and starting it up the car started up normally. The issue seems to be with either the ignition system or fuel system, which is available for inspection upon request. The car could suddenly stop without warning on the road and endanger the safety of myself or other drivers. The problem was previously acknowledged by NHTSA in two separate campaign numbers in may 2020 (20v314000) and March 2021 (21v215000) and this particular Civic was serviced in 2021in accordance with that recall and confirmed by the dealer. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.
I accelerated into a driveway of a convenience store and as I was halfway through the driveway my gas pedal became unresponsive and would not accelerate. Car started rolling back into traffic. 2 weeks later my pedal became unresponsive on the freeway. I exited and immediately called thd dealer because I had already taken it to get checked out after the first incident and they basically said nothing can be done but to trade it in since the mechanic had already said there was nothing wrong.
The engine wire hardness was bitten by rats twice in two years because Honda uses soy based wires and we are not informed.
I was recently charged for a repair to my 2019 Honda Civic type r by chapman Honda of tucson, arizona. Chapman Honda incorrectly blames the repair on washing the car/engine. Subsequent research into the issue shows the issue of water present in spark plug cylinders of this model vehicle have occurred globally, and has nothing to do with washing any part of the vehicle. The problem is a design flaw with this vehicle, and it is a safety issue with the vehicle.
When driving home from work my car suddenly showed multiple errors such as emissions system problem, brake system problem, hill start problem, power steering problem , ems system problem. The car only has 14,000 miles and is a year old. The car does not shift or steer properly. Please recall this car because many others have had the same problem.
Brand new 2019 Civic with a leaking condenser. Car has 4862miles, with all the extended warranties. Honda refused coverage even though they have not done all they can to protect such a fragile component. Was told a "small pebble" hit the condenser causing a leak. In 2012 Honda settled a 40million dollar class action for this very same thing on the crv and other models. On this class action they agreed to have dealerships put a metal screen to protect the condenser. Why aren't they doing this with all vehicles!?!?! Honda is straight up running a scam on it's customers. At $1,000. 00 a pop per repair, my local dealership admitted to seeing at least 5 of this type or repair coming through every week!! imagine how much refrigerant is leaking into the atmosphere!? 5 a week at one dealership. . . . Wow.
Terrible smell inside the car and outside when parked in garage after short drive. Oil dilution . Strong gasoline vapors . Gasoline mixing with oil in engine.
