The contact owns a 2019 Honda Civic. The contact stated that the forward collision avoidance system activated independently without a vehicle in close proximity. The contact stated that while making a left turn into a parking lot, the automatic braking system failed to activate and the vehicle struck the median on the passenger's side of the vehicle. The contact stated that there was damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle, the front bumper was dented and the hood was dented inwards.
