The contact owns a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid. The contact was driving 40 mph when the ima battery warning light illuminated and the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle would not restart for a minimum of six hours and the vehicel was taken to the dealer. The dealer stated that there were bad codes that caused the vehicle to stall. The dealer reprogrammed the vehicle but the failure recurred. The dealer then replaced the ecm and pcm. The contact stated that the problem was with the ima battery since one of the codes from the diagnostic test read that the ima code was faulty. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign id number: 11v106000 (electrical system) and called the manufacturer but was advised that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 74,000.
