1 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 10/04/2009

Defective wheel suspension on Honda Civic Hybrid leading to excessive and unsafe wear on tires with corresponding road noise. Dealer seemed puzzled why tires should be worn so quickly, suggested rotation, which we had already done according to their specifications. Dealer offered no compensation for tire wear, as they stated that tires were not under warranty. After reading numerous complaints we realize the necessity of adding ours as nothing will be done to correct this defect in design unless everyone with this problem speaks out. Dealer seems oblivous that this problem exists.

2 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 08/12/2009

I don't know where to turn for help my problems is that I bought a Honda civic last year 2008, for business use. My wife was using it to commuted from home to business every day. It happened yesterday (Aug/12) while she was driving down I-15 and bangerter hwy she heard a snap sound very loud under the car, she then slowed down to 60mph. The car behind her passed along side her and signaled her to pull the car over immediately. She pulled over and got out to inspect the vehicle, and she found out that the axle (suspension support) had broke off. The only thing that held the shaft from flying off the road were the brake cable and electrical cable. Thank god, nothing happened to her and my 10 month old son and my second child on the way. She immediately called me to let me know what was going on. I had her called the tow truck and to take the vehicle to larry miller Honda for now. On the same day I had to fly back to salt lake to take care of the problems. I called Honda consumer public affairs for assistance but they told me that they couldn't help me. I don't know where to turn, can you help. Thanks a million. Updated 08/19/09 photos received. Updated 08/20/09.

3 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 03/30/2009

Increasing road noise and vibration as tires were worn irregularly over the first 14 months of operation. Vehicle became increasing unstable at highway speeds, particularly in wet or snowy road conditions or when windy. Vehicle felt as if it was darting from side to side, requiring continuous minor steering corrections, and until ultimately a reduction in speed is required to regain stable control of the car. Honda acknowledges rear suspension is the cause, but does not notify owners.
