Air Bag Light On problems of the 1997 Honda CR-V

Five problems related to air bag light on have been reported for the 1997 Honda CR-V. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 10/03/2016

The contact owns a 1997 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 mph, the frontal driver and passenger air bags deployed without impact. The air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the contacts residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 200,000.

2 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 08/02/2004

While driving air bag light (srs) illuminated. Dealership reset the electrical srs module three time at consumer's expense of $90. 00 each time. Dealer indicated there was no tbs or recall on this component.

3 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 04/15/2003

The vehicles air bag light illuminated and stayed on. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the problem required a costly repair. The consumer contacted the manufacturer who advised the consumer to take the car back to the dealer for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was returned for the test where it was discovered that the repair was not as costly as initially stated and that only a minor adjustment was needed. Shortly after that adjustment the air bag light illuminated again.

4 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 12/23/2001

Airbag light came on. After inspecting vehicle, dealer determined a defect in the unit, and it had to be replaced.

5 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 07/15/2001

Air bag light has come on. Even with taking vehicle to dealer light will not turn off.
