1 Differential Unit problem

Failure Date: 02/25/2011

I have a rumbling, grinding noise that is due to excessive and premature wear on the rear differential of my 2000 Honda crv awd. I have changed the fluid, but it seems that this is a common problem that should not be occuring in so many owners.

2 Differential Unit problem

Failure Date: 07/25/2009

The contact owns a 2000 Honda Cr-v. While driving 20 mph or in first and second gear, the vehicle hesitates to gain speed. It seems to not want to shift into the upper gear. The vehicle was taken to a repair shop and the mechanic stated that there was an error message on the gear differential on the transmission. The dealer has been notified. Through research, she found complaints for this failure. The contact believes that this should not be occurring on her vehicle due to the mileage, and that the manufacturer should issue a recall. The current and failure mileages were 112,000. Updated 09/11/09 updated 09/15/09.
