While driving, and trying to make a turn steering wheel froze and the car became uncontrollable. Dealer's service manager drove the vehicle, and agreed that the power steering unit was defective. Honda will not repair the vehicle, and stated vehicle had no defects.

2 Power Steering Linkages Drag problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2004

When making a low speed evasive manuever that requires turning sharply from one direction to another, the steering loses its power assist temporarily. Feels like steering is jammed. Problem manifests when traveling below 20mph with braking and a swerve to one direction followed by acceleration and attempt to straighten out vehicle.
