Both my low beam headlights stopped working I could smell a rubber burning smell and smoke was coming from the steering column.
Tilt steering lock mechanism will fail and allow steering column to float. This float condition leads to a loss of steering control. The condition is intermittent but most often occurs at temperatures below 40 degrees f.
