1 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 01/20/2016

The car was in an accident and none of the airbags deployed. This vehicle was brought to a dealership for the takata recall in November 2015 and the accident occurred in January 2016. Since the car rolled over when slowing down quickly taking a turn on the highway, maybe the driver's side airbag shouldn't have deployed but none of the side airbags worked either (see pictures).

2 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 05/21/2015

My Honda crv is within the year range for a recall of the driver side airbag. To date, I have not received any recall notice from Honda. . . . . . At all. I am concerned about this and came to your website to find out if my vehicle is definitely one that needs to be recalled for replacement of the airbag apparatus. As far as I can tell, it is. . . . . So I am wondering why no recall notice has come to me? what am I to do? the potential effects of this faulty part seem devastating from what I am reading. . . . . Please advise what is my best course of action.

5 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 02/18/2013

Update to the July 2013 and December 2013 vehicle safety complaints (NHTSA id numbers 10523929 and 10555723 respectively) concerning the srs dashboard light coming on permanently while operating the vehicle and resulting in the shut off of the side airbag. In April 2014, the srs light with the dtc 15-2 code came on permanently and would not clear with my code reader. The vehicle was returned to the Honda dealer on 5/27/2014. The mileage was 121,133. The Honda tech diagnosed the problem as a failed printed circuit in the dashboard gauge control module after being unable to clear the srs diagnostic code. A new gauge control module was installed on 6/16/2014. I retained the old part. So far the srs dashboard light has not come back on permanently again. Updated 08/18/14.

6 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 08/13/2009

On August 13, 2009 my husband was involved in an automobile accident in which he was hit in the drivers side door. The car was totaled. The two front airbags deployed but the driver's side airbag did not. His injuries were not life threatening but he still suffers with pain from the bruises and abrasions plus a small hairline fracture of a lower vertebra. Perhaps some of these injuries could have been avoided or lessened had the side airbag deployed. We called our Honda dealer and he referred us to Honda company. I talked with a christine at Honda and explained what had happened and her reply was that Honda does not investigate accidents. I told her that I would be reporting the problem to the NHTSA and would like it documented that I had also reported it to Honda. She gave me a case # n012009-0800615081700615. I will be contacting Honda again as I was not satisfied with the response I received from them. I am reporting the problem to you in hopes that if this is a common problem with the side airbags something may be done about it. Thank you.
