1 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 02/16/2019

Car begins to accelerate when in park or when my foot is not on the accelerator. Car also reads several codes relating to vsa, vtec, etc however when I bring it to get checked, new codes pop up relating to similar issues.

2 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 03/18/2018

Vsa stopped working bad traction on wet roads car jerks unexpectedly.

3 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 09/22/2017

I was driving and all of the sudden the car starting acting strange - acceleration was very weak, steering was heavy, and when I was stopped car would nearly stall. Engine light came on, which was alarming. I took car into Honda dealer and after doing some research they said I needed a software update due to a glitch in the initial software and charged me $224 which I was not happy to pay. This is clearly a defect in their car software since I didn't do anything that would have affected their car software. It could have been very dangerous had the loss of acceleration occurred on the freeway, threatening my safety and the safety of others.

4 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 12/13/2016

Vsa module failed along with the abs. Called Honda USA and they admitted that it was a safety issue but did not care and hung up on me. Dealer charged $2400 to fix. Car had only 88,000 miles. We were told we could keep driving the car.

5 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2016

I own a 2006 crv with under 33000 miles, I take very good care of this vehicle as I'm the original owner. So all of a sudden while driving on the highway my vsa, abs, engine, tps (triangle explanation point symbol) and brake light come on. I take it to the dealer and I'm told the vsa module needs replacing! costing $2400. Wow! that's expensive. I think this part should be investigated considering the severity! this part is vital and how has $2400 burning a whole in there pocket? please help! this is so frustrating!.

6 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 06/02/2014

The contact owns a 2006 Honda Cr-v. While driving approximately 45 mph, the abs and stability control warning indicators illuminated. The triangle exclamation icon also illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they stated that the vsa modulator needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 34,000.

7 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 04/17/2013

Sudden failure (warning lights) of abs and vsa systems. Car becomes difficult to handle during shifting gears. 2006 Honda crv less than 90,000 miles. This is a safety issue with the car. Many complaints about this on the internet. Please investigate.

8 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 02/09/2013

I incorrectly put the car into drive 1. I noticed my mistake and changed the transmission to drive. The car's computer put the vehicle in full throttle. I braked and put the transmission into neutral and the rpm gauge showed the car to be in full throttle. I had to turn off the vehicle and everything was ok after this incident. I am 100% sure that the computer on this vehicle has some problems.

9 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 07/11/2011

Vsa/abs modulator failure. Vsa/abs and vsa exclamation point all came on at once for no apparent reason and would not go out. Certified Honda dealer did a diagnostic which showed the modulator failure. . . . . So essentially a major component of my braking system failed. A replacement cost of $1500!!!! vehicle is well cared for, I avoid inclement weather (snow/ice etc. ) when possible and I can count on two hands the amount of times the vsa has kicked on since first purchasing the vehicle in 2006 (brand new). As for my abs I'm not an aggressive driver so my abs haven't been used as much either. The vsa/abs module should not have failed as it did.

10 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2010

Vsa module failure 2006 crv.

11 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 04/05/2010

1) April 5, 2010: forty-five minutes into the drive, my gas tank (which was half full) dropped below empty in just one second. I could feel the engine shutting down on the highway. I was in the left hand lane driving in heavy traffic. At this point, I knew that I needed to pull over and get help. Unfortunately, the cars behind me were passing me on the right hand side not allowing me to get over. I knew that if someone would not let me over into the right hand lane, I was going to die along with others that would crash into me. Fortunately, god created an opening. At this opening, I merged onto an exit ramp for me to realize I don't have any brakes at all. I went into panic and fight mode. I was an inch away from slamming into a pole and tipping over a little cliff when I slammed the car into park position in order to stop my car. 2) failure: loss of control, engine shutting down, loss of brakes on the highway consequences: almost lost my life and could've easily killed others on the highway this is the first time this particular engine problem occurred, but this is not the first engine problem. 3) car was brought to the closest Honda dealership. Several scans done. They couldn't figure out the problem. 4) towed car from that dealership to my original dealer. This Honda Cr-v bought brand new is currently with my original dealer. They are trying to figure out the defect.
