Headlights go out every 2-3 months so constantly changing bulbs. Very inconvenient and dangerous.

The low beam headlights have stopped working over six (6) times in two plus (2+) years (car purchased used, 11/2015). Spent a couple hundred dollars on replacement bulbs; replaced the housing unit to see if that corrected the issue and it worked for a few months; finally in April 2018 went to hall Honda (virginia beach, va) to diagnose the issue. They just said the bulb was bad and replaced it. I drive with lights on during the day and yesterday (7/20/2018) I noticed that my lights weren't reflecting on the cars in front of me while driving. Once parked, I checked and low beams not operational, but high beams work. This morning I called hall Honda and have an appointment to go in today (7/21/2018) at 1:45 pm. I have printed out info from online complaints about this same issue. There was a recall, but it only went to the car year 2005. This is an obvious safety issue since headlights are needed when driving in rain (it is the law here in va) or when it is dusk/dark. Listing yesterday as the date this happened, although it happened first to me February 2016. I also checked off the electrical and lighting boxes, since I am not qualified to determine what is the cause of this safety issue.

The headlights went out the day I bought my vehice and have read that this is a major issue that has been recalled for previous years but not this one. Many vehicle owners complain of replacing their bulbs every month or two and some have said that both have gone out on them during a long road trip. This is a major safety issue! please address this! I really don't feel safe driving far distances and at night.

Vehicle was purchased used in may 2018. The driver's side headlight has burned out every 4-7 weeks since. No solutions from two different Honda mechanics. Have read many similar accounts. Have tried h1 bulbs from different manufacturers, battery was checked for power surges, no moisture, no reported accidents, rubber boots in place, didn't touch the bulbs, replaced the 'socket' with oem part, etc. No one has a solution. About 130,000 miles when first took place during my time so far. Seems to go out when driving. Bulb has slight burn mark on it after going out.

Over the last 12-16 months, the low-beam bulb for the headlights have failed approximately every 1-2 months. When attempting to research this issue on the internet, it appears that this is a common problem across multiple years of this make and model vehicle. In fact, it appears that they had issued recalls on an earlier model year of this vehicle but have resisted recalling additional model years. I have not yet determined the cause of this problem on my vehicle. The passenger low-beam bulb seems to have been effected more than the driver side. I have been trying to track the timing of the bulb failures, and I believe that it may be related to long distance trips of over 100 miles. I have an appointment to have an automotive electrical company look at it and try to trace the fault.

I have a 2006 Honda crv se that the low beam headlights keep going out on. I took it to the dealer to be fixed, and they said it was a exposed wire going to the fuse box. I continue to have the problem though. My drivers side went out a month ago again, and then came back on for a week. Then the drivers side lights went out again. I went to leave work last nigh, and now both low beams are not working. I have contacted the recall department, and they tell me I have no open recalls on my car. I paid $400 less than 8 months ago to fix this, and now I have a worse problem. The dealer says I'm past my warranty on the repair, so I will have to pay to have them look at it to see what the issue is. I am also having an issue with all lights inside and out strobing and pulsing. I have read many people having this. This is a huge safety concern, and my next step is to call the NHTSA to report the problem. I am urging anyone having issues to call the Honda recall line to report the problem. They will not do a recall to fix the problem until they have enough complaints. This was my first Honda as I am a Toyota girl, but I decided to give them a shot. I don't think I will be looking at Honda's next year when I go to do my trade in. I have had more problems with just the headlights, and other lights in my car that and had not issues at all with my last Toyota. This is a safety concern and needs to be corrected.

We stopped at a gas station on a long trip and when we got back in car headlights went out and even with new bulbs are very dim. Have to drive with high beams to see to drive. Very unsafe.

I am a one time owner of this vehicle low beam headlights constantly burning out both sides, does not matter which brand is used. The lights burn out anytime 1-3 months of use after change out. This is extremely hazardous! and very expensive! living in alaska we depend on our headlights more than normal to avoid sever accidents in low light conditions, ie vehicles, ice /snow/rain, humans, moose, caribou etc. Honda should have recalled and repaired this condition many years ago! this is an extreme safety condition! this has been happening for the last 9 years 2007 to 2016, I average 8-10 bulbs a year @ $6-$15 a bulb and changing them out in sub-0 temps is no fun! the vehicle has no set pattern as to when this happens parked or driving and high beam use is a must at times with out getting pulled over. The vehicle started at 96,000 miles and now has 130,000 miles.

Headlight bulbs continue to blow. Then can blow after a couple of months or a year after installation. But they blow often enough that when they go, I immediately go to the store to buy replacements. Just this evening, I had a the right side go when I replace the left side just yesterday. I fear that both may go at the same time when my wife or I are behind the wheel with our infant in the backseat. The bulbs have blown while going down the road, as well as when parked. Since we acquired this vehicle in 2009, I have replaced over a dozen bulbs. I have only recently started saving receipts to better track this issue.

The passenger-side headlight on my 2006 Cr-v went out 06/10/15, so I had it replaced @Honda dealer next day. The tech said high-beam was also out! I questioned the likelihood of such an occurrence, but was not given any response that indicated a "known issue" with the headlights/wiring. My vehicle has been going through headlights like crazy for the past two years. Approx. Every two months either the right or left side goes without warning. Most recently I decided to install higher end bulbs thinking that maybe the little 8. 00 dollar ones were the problem. Wrong! I put a set of 50. 00 bulbs in each side at the same time and less than a month later the drivers side went out! I drive on very dark rural roads at night coming home from work and if both of these lights fail at the same time I could be seriously hurt.

After the headlight bulb has been replaced numerous times, the right (passenger side) low beam headlight no longer lights. The bulb has been replaced with new, the old bulb is completely intact (filament as well as glass- no burned marks at all), and the fuses are not blown. The internet is full of complaints about this issue, and in fact Honda has recalled 550,000 previous pilot and Cr-v models for this failure. Seems the wiring harness is too short, and disconnects the low beam headlights. This is a clear safety issue, and is not due to owner error. Thank you.

Both low headlights went out at same time. The day before they worked. Usually one goes at a time but that shouldn't happen twice a year. Should it? I have never owned a vehicle where I have to change the bulbs so much. And now both! something is definitely wrong especially when I read so many other owners having the same problem. I respectfully request that Honda issue a recall and see if my2006 is having same problem as other recalled model years.

Low beam headlight on passenger side of 2006 Cr-v continues to fail. Both headlights have been replaced but the passenger side continues to go out monthly. I have complained to the dealer and asked if there is a solution and they only suggest replacing the bulb again. This is safety issue that Honda should be forced to resolve.

Low beams keep burning out after 2 to 4 months of use. I have replaced both headlights at least 5 times in the lat 3 years. Just ridiculous. Dealership just replaces bulbs and the bulbs continue to burn out way to quickly. Even purchased longer life headlights and replaced both at same time, one bulb still burned out within 3 months. Honda needs to address this problem which many are experiencing on their 2006 crv.

Low beam headlights constantly need to be replaced. Going through my 3rd replacement in about a year. Usually one goes out and then shortly after, the other one goes out. I had them both replaced about a month and half ago. I was leaving work and turned on the headlights and within a second, they both went out. It was dark so I had to drive home with my high beams on.

I was driving on the highway at night when I noticed it was very dark in front of my car. It turned out both of my lowbeams had failed at the same time. Thank goodness my highbeams kept working, although that meant shining a light in oncoming drivers' eyes. I thought this was just an odd problem that happened to me, but after reading other people's stories, I know it was part of a larger problem Honda has. This is a safety issue. You cannot be driving at night and have both of your headlights go out.

Both low beams suddenly stopped working leaving the road in complete darkness. 2006 Honda crv since April 2013 I have gone through 17 headlight bulbs. That is the most I have ever had to put in any of my cars. If you type in troubleshooting problems with 2006 headlights you will see that there are many other people that are having this very same issue. I would like to think that you as a company would want to get this problem fixed or at least look at getting a fix. When I talked with my area dealer he didn't seem to think that this was a problem. I have had professional people install them that know better than to touch the bulb and they have gotten to the point that they won't install them for me anymore. They are worried that it may came back to them. I really hope that you will at least give me a thought as to look at your computer.

Headlights have repeatedly blown out over the past year unexpectedly. Have changed each bulb 4 times over the course of a year.

My wife and I have owned our Honda crv since early 2006. It has had numerous electrical issues, specifically issues with the headlights and interior lights. We have had to replace the headlight bulbs at least once a year since purchasing the crv. It is clearly a major defect with the Honda crv electrical system. I have seen numerous complaints on the internet by others with this same issue. Honda is responsible and needs to recall the crv and fix the issue. I will never purchase another Honda again.

Headlight went out again. I have replaced headlights approximately every 3 months in the last 2 years. Appears to be an electrical issue, as reflected in recalls for earlier model crv's. Honda needs to do recall for this for later model crv's.

Repeatedly the headlight bulbs blow out. Purchased car used 10/2012, replaced bulb 12/2012, again 6/2013 and now another one blown 10/2013.

Both low-beam headlights failed on November 25, 2012 while on a cross-country trip. A Honda dealer checked the electrical system the following morning and reported no problems. The dealer replaced both bulbs and advised that Honda Cr-vs were prone to headlight problems. On the evening of April 23, 2013 (less than five months after the first double failure, vehicle mileage approximately 106,800 miles), both low-beam headlights failed again. The dealer where we purchased the vehicle checked the electrical system the following morning and reported no problems. This dealer also replaced the bulbs and advised that Honda Cr-vs were prone to headlight problems. In both instances, we noticed the low beam headlight failures at dusk, after starting the vehicle. We purchased this vehicle new in November 2005 and these are the only instances of headlight failure.
