Failure Date: 08/10/2016

Passenger front lock.

37 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 08/04/2016

I have four issues. First, my power steering assembly needs to be replaced. It is leaking and will cause more problems. I see on many sites where this issue is very prevalent in 2007 Cr-v's. Second, the interior lighting does not work correctly. Only the back inside lights come on when the doors open; the front drivers inside light only comes on when pushed; the front passengers inside light does not work at all. Third, the back passenger side door will not lock. I am not able to lock it manually or remotely. It locks and pops right back open. I see many complaints online with the locks on 2007 Cr-v's. Fourth, the tpms light stays on.

38 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/27/2016

At the time they replaced my driver side airbag they also replaced the driver side actuator for locking the door per an active recall and after leaving the dealership in statesville nc my doors immediately began locking and unlocking, I contacted the dealer who did original repair and said they can do nothing for passenger side, my car will now not lock and randomly locks and unlocks the doors, this was not occurring before driver side was repaired. Please help, obviously the passenger side actuator is faulty too. I appreciate your attention to this matter. I can no longer lock my passenger side doors. This occurs when the car is moving, very distracting to the driver of auto.

39 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/21/2016

Front passenger door lock mechanism failure prevents normal operation of the manual lock control and locks passengers into the vehicle. With the failure, the manual lock control has high mechanical resistance and immediately returns to the lock position after attempting to unlock. This power lock failure is not not fail safe, and creates a safety hazard as it is nearly impossible to unlock and then open the door before the door locks itself. Exiting the vehicle in emergency situations such as an accident is compromised as passengers are locked into the vehicle. I respectfully request the initiation of a safety inquiry for this failure to support a mandatory recall for power lock failures in 2007 and other affected years of the Honda crv.

40 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/11/2016

Passenger power window not functioning. Would not roll up. Was sticking off and on for a long time. Now completely failed in rolling back up.

41 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/06/2016

The door locks started making a loud racket driving and stopping - when you were driving over 10 mph locks are supposed to lock automatically and then when you stop and park unlock automatically. Apparently there was an extended warranty that covered front driver actuator and right and left rear door locks. This extension warranty expired November 2015. Howdy Honda dealership here in austin texas was able to have front driver side door actuator replaced under warranty. The back driver and passenger doors will not lock. The new actuator was going off continuous in attempt to lock the back doors. I took back to howdy Honda, they said they would reprogram my key to stop it from trying to continuously lock the back doors as it was apparent that the new actuator would wear out rapidly from doing this. . If I am driving and stop at a light or crossing, anyone can just open the back door and hop inside my car and car jack me. Also, with these doors not locking I cannot set the alarm. This affects my insurance, as I have car insurance stating I have an alarm system - well if my car is vandalized or stolen it will come back to my problem as I did not set the alarm - I cannot set the alarm the back doors do not ever lock. I explained the insurance problem if vandalized or stolen; I explained the safety issue of being car jacked or someone opening the back door at a stop and grabbing one of my kids from the back seat or getting into the car. The cost quoted is $552. 00 to repair back door locks - this is all connected to the front driver door actuator that has been replaced, but has now been disabled by howdy Honda as it was going off and on continuously trying to lock back doors and that would wear out the new actuator just installed 10/26/2016 under warranty.

42 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/05/2016

2015 I receive a recall for the drivers door lock and I completed that but I need to replacement the passenger door lock for the same problem you can send me a new recall for that?.

43 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 04/25/2016

Automatic door locks will unlock on its own while driving.

44 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 03/24/2016

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while in park, all the doors failed to unlock. The contact had to push the unlock button multiple times in order to exit the vehicle. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who diagnosed that the actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

45 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 03/02/2016

The front and rear locks on the passenger side have failed. When the vehicle is locked, the passenger side locks automatically switch to the unlock position, regardless of the vehicle being stationary or in motion. Even after locking the vehicle, the door can be opened by passengers or people outside the vehicle. This poses a serious risk for young passengers who may open the door while in motion if the child safety lever is not activated. I have already paid the Honda dealership to repair the front passenger side lock actuator, but after the front lock actuator repair, the rear lock actuator broke. In 2015, Honda issued an extended warranty on the locks, but the extended warranty period was only a few months from the issue date of the letter. My lock actuators broke shortly after the end of the extended warranty period. I attempted to have Honda repair the locks as part of the campaign and they refused. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this issue to determine that the defective lock actuators are a safety issue and a recall is necessary. Please refer to code of federal regulations [70 fr 39966, July 12, 2005] § 571. 206 standard no. 206; door locks and door retention components. -s4. 1. 3. 2 side rear door locks. In passenger cars and multipurpose passenger vehicles, when the locking mechanism is engaged both the outside and inside door handles or other latch release controls shall be inoperative.

46 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 02/24/2016

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that the rear driver side door locks functioned independently. In addition, the rear passenger door and trunk did not unlock. Prior to the failure, the vehicle made abnormal noises. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the actuators in the trunk, rear driver, and rear passenger side doors were defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Prior to the failure, the vehicle was taken to the dealer where they replaced the rear passenger side door actuator. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 171,000.

47 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 01/18/2016

Tl- takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Honda Cr-v. The contact was not experiencing a failure until the vehicle was taken to the dealer (kelly Honda, 40 lynnway, lynn, MA 01905,(781) 595-5252) 2 years ago for a manufacturer recall to service the door lock actuator. The contact stated that there was an intermittent failure which caused the contact to be locked inside the vehicle. In addition, the doors failed to lock and unlock. The contact also took the vehicle to the dealer for NHTSA campaign numbers: 17v030000 (air bags) and 16v061000 (air bags) but was uncertain as to when the parts may be supplied to the dealer to receive the repairs within a reasonable time frame. The contact was also uncertain about the door lock actuator failure and report the failure to the manufacturer to determine a solution for the dealers repairs. Parts distribution disconnect. The approximate failure mileage not available. Dyd.

48 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2015

The automatic door locking system engages and disengages on it's own, while driving, slowing down and stopping, then starting up again. A very "false sense of security" to all the passengers because the doors may be unlocked or locked at any time and the occupants may not be able to get out when they think they can based on what they hear the door locks have done by falsely engaging & disengaging.

49 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 11/10/2015

I came out of work and started my car. It smelled horrible, like an electrical fire. I brought it to my Honda dealership and they said it is the clutch mechanism. The a/c compressor failed and it is going to cost $1600 to fix. This was legitimately out of nowhere with no issue up until this point in time and it took me completely by surprise. Upon looking online, there are several reports of similar situations. A recall really should be done. This is an extremely expensive repair for owners to be burdened with.

50 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 09/03/2015

While driving in city traffic the passenger doors were locking and unlocking. At one point the passenger front door would unlock on its own. I was unable to get it to stay locked. The next time I used the car all seemed normal. This is very dangerous.

51 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/30/2015

Back doors will not lock. I tried to lock them manually as well as with the key remote and my back doors are always unlocked. The kids could fall out when moving if they open the doors.

52 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/20/2015

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Cr-v. While driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle failed to increase acceleration when the accelerator pedal was depressed. In addition, the air conditioner was activated and emitted hot air through the vents. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The air compressor was replaced. The failure recurred on two separate occasions. The vehicle was not repaired for most recent failures. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000. The VIN was unavailable.

53 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2015

Summer 2015 my a/c started to blow warm air. Took my car tot he Honda dealership in which they told me that my compressor had failed and needed to be replaced. I replaced the compressor as it was just starting to warm up. According to TSB #sb-12-072 NHTSA id #10056005, there was an extended warranty for those parts, but of course my VIN number was not involved. Even though it was the exact same problem. I wish there was a way to even get partially reimbursed because $1,900 was a lot to swallow.

54 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 02/02/2015

The locks are clicking on and off constantly while driving in traffic at a slow speed. They are not locking or unlocking the way they should. I already had the lock accentuator replaced with the recall. That did not cure my problem. My passenger window is not working as well. I cannot roll it down as it takes several tries to roll it back up. There is a serious eletronic flaw which could lock me in my car preventing me from getting out if I cannot roll my windows down. I will have to get a video of this while driving.

55 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2015

Door locks:: 2014 class action lawsuit resulted in six month extension to November 2015 for Honda 2007 crv repair this should be a recall as the lock has a design flaw that results in the doors not being able to be unlocked from the inside. If you unlock the doors, it automatically re-locks. The only way to get out is for an adult to put their thumb on the manual door latch and try to block the latch from locking while you try to open the door. The passenger locks on my affected vehicle had very little usage while driver door had high usage. Driver door was not affected so this is not a "wear" issue. Also, lock should default to unlocked if fails. Not locked as you can't get of the car. Honda issued service bulletin 14-083 and 084 which identifies the problem. This needs to be an involuntary untimed recall as this is a known safety issue. A secondary issue is local dealer did not follow the settlement agreement. Settlement agreement says driver door lock to be replaced whether working or not. Ocean Honda, santa cruz CA. Did not do that when I brought in due to Honda notification. Honda revised its service bulletin to include passenger door locks. . Ocean Honda did not inform me. They had car in for air bag recalls and service every 3 months. Trying to get them to accept responsibility now as warranty has expired; but this is a safety issue not a warranty issue.

56 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 11/14/2014

Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Honda crv. The contact stated that while traveling approximately 20 mph, the front and rear driver's side door independently unlocked. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the door lock actuators were replaced. The problem recurred after the repair was performed. In addition, the front passenger's side door failed to release open with the key fob. The vehicle had not been repaired for the recent failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 118,000. Nw.

57 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 11/05/2014

The rear right side door works the opposite of the other doors, with switching the gear from drive to park, with the remote, or using the driver’s side button. All three doors will unlock but the rear right side door unlocks and then locks back up again. And when I lock all the doors the rear right side door unlocks, which makes it unsafe while driving and kids in the back seat or when the car is parked overnight (vehicle mileage 74,600). Please help.

58 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 09/25/2014

Since 2014 Sep. The power steering very noising from engine room when make a turn. Don't know when the steering wheel will broken ,and unsafe. Rear passenger power widower window not working and driver side read doorlock not working.

59 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 09/05/2014

The rear passenger door automatically unlocks after main lock button is pushed on interior of driver's door as well as on the key fob. All other locks can easily lock/unlock manually except this door. It seems to be stuck until the button on driver's side door is pushed to lock. But almost instantly, it will unlock again. Anytime the car is driven past 9mph, the car keeps trying to lock all the doors making an annoying noise.

60 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2014

The door locks are locking or unlocking on their own at different times while the vehicle is moving. Passengers are unable to open their doors at certain times.

61 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 06/13/2014

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Cr-v. When the brakes were applied to stop the vehicle, the door locks would lock or unlock automatically without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 70,000.

62 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2014

All car locks make a loud noise when unlocking/locking. Only driver side door will stay unlocked when you unlock. Others will typically lock in 1-2 seconds making it a pain to allow someone into the vehicle. Driver side lock switch was replaced under warranty at 9,197 miles. Problem resurfaced 3 or 4 years ago, but we;ve just been tolerating it since we didn't want to spend the money on 8 year old car with 150k miles. No we learn there was a class action lawsuit, but we were never notified? should have been repaired under class action lawsuit. I disabled the auto door lock/unlock when going over 10 miles/hour and when placed in park to reduce the nuisance noise.

63 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/29/2014

This is a serious safety issue. The lock on the right side rear will not open manually nor will it open with the remote except for about one second when the remote is pressed. If there had been any kind of emergency anyone in that seat would not have been able to get out. Complained to the dealer, but because it was out of warranty it will cost about $300 to fix. Thought this issue should be reported as a warning to others with keyless entry remotes. Very dangerous.

64 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/22/2014

Last week I go to lock my car and is keep pushing lock on my clicker and it never beeps. So I go back to my car and look and all the doors are locking except for my drivers side. I end up manually locking it and when I come out it works fine. Now today (three days later) it is doing it again expect this time it locks extremely fast. I hit unlock to get out of my car and if I do not get out fast enough the door locks on its own while all the other doors stay unlocked.

65 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/19/2014

When I unlocked all the doors - the front passenger door lock opened but then retracted and the door would not open - I clicked the open switch several times and was finally able to open the door - but then the switch seemed to jam again - further research indicated that the actuator is the cause. This appears to be a potentially serious issue - if the door will not open in the event of an emergency - at the very least it is frustrating to have to remember to try to open the door as soon as it is activated otherwise it will retract and not open. I have in the interim tried applying some white lithium grease to the inside and it appears to help temporarily - but the actuator will eventually have to be replaced. I was trying to inquire if this shouldn't be a recall or reimbursement for repair from Honda. . . . .

66 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/15/2014

The automatic locks and door lock actuators seem to be malfunctioning. The locks will randomly unlock and lock miles into a drive. When the door is locked with the side door button on either the drivers side or passengers side the actuator makes a horrible noise. When the key is used to unlock the vehicle the actuator makes a horrible noise as well.

67 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2014

Drivers and passenger side doors will automatically relock everytime you unlock the doors. It started with the drivers side door, then a few weeks later, the passenger door. To unlock doors you have to physically hit unlock button, then you have half a second to get door open before it locks again on its own. The whole car be unlocked but you can't get into the front doors. I feel this is a safety issue, because if I were in an accident or had some kind of emergency, the front doors wouldn't unlock or open long enough to get out. My kids have a problem getting out, so I won't let them sit in front seat anymore. Hoping that the back doors don't start acting up. Doing research on this, I see that Honda has had class action law suits filed about this same problem, and many complaints about the same issue. On one site it says they had a recall on this in late 2012, but I haven't seen any thing else about a recall.

68 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2014

The rear and front passenger door locks will automatically unlock after being locked. The lock button also will not consistently lock any of the doors in the car. Therefore I have 2 doors in my call that will never lock. This poses a safety issue for not only myself but also any passengers that I have with me. It also put any of possessions that are left in the car vulnerable to theft. This is the same problem has occurred in earlier models and Honda has recalled this issue, yet in later models the same issue is happening yet no recall has been made.

69 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2014

Front passenger door will not stay in unlocked position after using manual unlock, or key fob. Just forces back to locked. Am concerned that if there is a crash - the door will not be able to be opened.

70 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 04/14/2014

The front passanger side door immediately locks itself after being unlocked. It happens when the door is being unlocked from the inside with the lock/unlock button on the door. It also happens when you use the key fob. As soon as you unlock the doors the front passanger side door locks itself.
