The contact owns a 2008 Honda Cr-v. While the vehicle was stationary, all of the automatic door locks on the vehicle malfunctioned. The contact attempted to open the doors with a remote key, but they did not respond when prompted. The contact was able to enter the vehicle through the driver's door by using the manual key. The contact stated that the doors locked and unlocked repeatedly on their own while making a loud "machine gun-like" noise. In addition,the contact stated that the ignition switch malfunctioned by making a loud scratching noise when prompted. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was made aware of the failure, but stated that there was no recall or extended warranty on the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 117,398.
