The contact owns a 2017 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the brake pedal engaged independently as the abs warning light illuminated, causing the vehicle to stop independently. The contact attempted to release the brake pedal however, the brake pedal failed to release. The contact waited for a several minutes and the vehicle resumed normal operation. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the issue. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact did not feel safe driving the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,078.
