Torque converter on transmission needs to be replaced at 66,000 miles although systems have existed for almost 2 years, but just now diagnosed.

2 Automatic Transmission Torque Converter problem

Failure Date: 05/15/2017

TSB a15-086 describes transmission issue of vehicle when shifting between 2 and 3 gears under light acceleration. Took it to dealership in 2/17 dealer replaced fluids worked smooth for a week and started again. Dealer claims they did multi point inspection before and after fluid change. But only discovered torque converter issue today. Wants 1500. 00 to replace torque converter software update and fluid replacement was temporary fin lasted a weeking showed TSB says not part of issue is posted all over multiple Honda forums.

3 Automatic Transmission Torque Converter problem

Failure Date: 02/15/2017

There is a TSB out that says the fluids need to be changed and a software update applied. The original symptom is the vehicle shudder at start of acceleration and during shifts between 2nd and 3rd. Paid for service still have problem Honda dealer in hollywood florida 2 days after service still same problem. Went back to dealer tells us its torque converter but not covered. Question is why didn't they test v drive vehicle after service work. Been to several dealerships to test drive used crv between model treat 2012 to 2014 all have same issues. Car travels 80 percent city streets along same route past this Honda dealership 2 times daily. Checked several Honda forums and various years all posting issues does not matter if lx ex exl or 2wd or and models everyone posts sane issues. Havre even retired driving pinky eco mode or normal mode same issue so software update and fluid change resolved no issues.
