4 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 10/07/2016

Takata recall - air bag did not deploy - I was traveling west on the us 60 freeway in mesa, arizona and was driving in the right lane of a 4 lane freeway, traveling 65 mph. A car driven by a young lady, realized that she missed her exit and came from the car pool lane, on the far left side to try and get off on an exit called dobson road. According to the witness statements she had to speed up to pass everyone to try and get off on the exit she was going to miss. As she cut across, I just happened to be driving past that exit and while she was going 75 to 85 mph, she hit me on the driver's side door. At the last second, I noticed something out of the corner of my left eye and turned my head and that is when she hit me. The next thing I remember is trying to get out of my car, but I couldn't because the door was smashed in, right where the hinges are. She hit me in a strong part of the door. Evidently, after she hit me her car pushed me into the wall of the on ramp. I don't really remember what happened between the time I turned my head, until the time I was trying to get out, to no avail. The side airbag and the front airbag never went off. The airbag on the passenger side, the side that hit the wall, did go off. I am lucky that the car did not roll over, but I think it was the wall that prevent that, because the wheels on the passenger side were at a 90 degree angle from sliding sideways. I suffered whiplash, of course and my neck and back are still not right. I had to get steroid shots in my back to be able to go to work because I started a new job. I had a concussion and still get headaches, and I tore my left acl, which has been replaced and now the only way to repair it is to have a knee replacement. I am still not okay and I know that a big reason for my severe injuries due to airbags not deploying. Accident occurred on 10/7/16 and I'm still suffering.
