Car Stall problems of the 2015 Honda CR-V

I took my car to the repair shop because my car vibrates and idles low to where it feels like it is going to cut off at a stop sign or traffic light while in gear. The shop changed out the valve gasket and did an oil change paid $260. 00 the car continued to low idle and vibrate at the stop lights and and stop signs felt like it was going to stall out. A week later I took my car to another repair shop and they changed out the coils and spark plugs also cleaned the body throttle which cost me $820 left there and still my car at traffic lights and stop signs while in gear vibrates and idles low and feels like it is going to stall out. So I took it back to that shop 3 more times for the same issue. I then took the car to the Honda deal ship where they did a diagnostic and updated the computer system and still my car vibrates and idle lows and feels like it is going to stall out when in gear at stop lights and stop signs. Honda did not fix the issue.

I was driving car on city street about 40 miles hours, tried to accelerate twice , car started slowing down . The third time I tried to accelerate. The car finally begin to accelerate. The second time was driving on city street and went to yield right of was before making a right turn . I slowed to yield then accelerated the car stalled as it was stopped. I tried to accelerate again and then the care accelerated slowly. Another car came through red light and was right on my bumper when my car stalled. This is very dangerous.

My problem with my Honda crv happens first thing in the morning but intermittent. So when backing the car out of garage it will feel like it's gonna to stall or shake sometimes stalls car or almost stalls. I have taken the car to dealer but unable to duplicate problem. My first time to dealer and told them of problem was told Honda was aware of problem and I would be contacted once they had a fix. I'm still waiting. I also bought to other dealerships and no luck. I still have vehicle warranty and hoping to get problem fixed. Thanks for your time, corey.

The motor stalls when making pulling away from a dead stop. I have noticed this in particular when making a turn from a dead stop. It has almost got me hit a few times and this has happened numerous times. I contacted my dealer when this first happened and they said it needed a software update which they did, it didn't fix the problem. It doesn't do it all the time as it is sporadic but when it does do it it makes it very dangerous when making a turn and oncoming traffic is coming towards me. Honda will not address this issue with this vehicle for me.

The car stalls while moving slowly in reverse. This is dangerous in two ways. Way one, while moving in reverse the car stalls, and thus I stop moving when I and the people around me thought I would continue. The second way is I often end up reversing more quickly when I feel the car beginning to stall, this keeps the car from stalling but causes me to move in reverse faster than I would like to. This usually happens when the car is started from a cold start (after sitting overnight). . This issue has been happening to me for at least half a year. Not every time I start the car, but at least once a week. I bought the car new in June 2015. Also in general the car shudders significantly while idling in drive. I fear that soon the car may start stalling in drive as well while it is idling. Many people report these same issues online, and a recall should be done before the problem gets worse as the cars age.

Recently took my 2015 Honda Cr-v for another attempt to fix the issue. Basically, the vehicle will vibrate harshly and shudder as if it will stall with the rpm's dropping to 300-500. It happens in multiple instances- when coming to a stop/stopped in gear, while on the highway going about 60-70 mph. It feels like the vehicle loses power/is about to stall off. I've been told by Honda this is "characteristic" of the vehicle. If that's the case, why didn't they inform me this when purchasing the vehicle? bad move, Honda.

I have experienced several issues with my 2015 Honda Cr-v: 1. Lug nut corrosion: I have had several lug nuts replaced due to visual corrosion around the welded top to side area of the nut. Replaced under warranty @ 36,000 miles. 2. Engine / transmission vibration: low speed vibration, I can visibly see the passenger seat vibrate. High speed vibration ~ 70mph, this is felt through the seat and steering wheel. Rear hatch vibration (booming) ~ 55 - 60 mph. The dealer has installed countermeasure parts @ 36,000 miles, but the vibration has gotten worse.

Car stalls after shifting into reverse on initial start.

Car has been stalling in motion (especially in areas of higher speed) and the car has been not starting up. We have been on the interstates when the car has gone from 60 mph to stop all at once. . . Almost killing us. In regards to the start up issue, the lights come on but the engine does not. The battery was just replaced and the dealership will not fix these safety issues. In fact, the managing partner tells his staff to ignore our communication attempts and will not return our calls himself. The service manager refused to fix anything because he says there is nothing wrong with the car after driving it around the dealership parking lot once. Honda corporate will not fix any issues either. This car is a lemon and has been since we bought it in January 2015. These stalling and startup issues have specifically been going on since January 5, 2017.

My Honda Cr-v 2015 power suddenly turns off, car stalls, red oil light comes, car is still in reverse gear as I was backing out of garage. It had moved about 8 feet. After a moment or two engine light comes on. There is absolutely no power. To restart car I shift to park and proceed. All systems restart and no problem lights turn on. After three occurrences over about two months. I took car to Honda service 08/22/2016. They noted they checked "car stops when going in reverse" and could nor get it to fail. They stated they made a system update "16-053 per bulletin pgm-fi sofware. " they did not acknowledge any other safety recalls matching my problem. On 09/18/2016 I experienced the same problem. It was Sunday and ray laks, Honda was closed. I spent time looking up recalls and found your letter nvs-215sm to Honda dealers dated 03/9/2015 which denotes the same problem I had - "loss of engine power while in motion. " it would appear to be similar problem. Perhaps ray laks, Honda dealer, 3590 southwestern blvd. , orchard park, NY 14127, 716-824-6300 did not double check my car for that update.

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Cr-v. While driving 30 mph, the vehicle stalled and all the warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, but the technician was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 12,000.

When the contact depressed the accelerator numerous times, the vehicle operated normally. The failure was intermittent. The failure occurred seven times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.

At a full stop with brake pedal applied, excessive vibration occurs from engine . Both passengers in front and rear can feel it along with driver. Rpms drop below 600. Feels like the vehicle is going to stall. Only occurs at full stop when warmed up with brake pedal applied. Seems like low rpm problem. Will bring back to dealer this week. It seems many others here are experiencing same problem. This vehicle has less than 4000 miles on it and was purchased new . Manufacture date was 02/15. Wondering if this is problem associated with the current recall. Please address. Thank you.

We had bought a brand new Honda crv from o donnel Honda in ellicott city (near baltimore). We had added an accessory of a remote starter. The dealer installed the remote starter but it is not working (car has to be twice started and restarted). Dealer has told us that this is a known problematic issue with all crvs with keyless entry. We were never told about this problem while buying the car. We consider this as fraudulent practice. I am requesting dot to please help us ask Honda to resolve this issue. Either the remote starter should be reinstalled or another starter should be installed which works correctly. Please note that if this is a known error (as dealer said) then all Honda crvs should be recalled. Restarting the car twice or more damages the car and could lead to safety issues if car starter stops working sooner than expected. We rely all our car for all personal, family and business needs. If a new car breaks down due to such faulty programming, it will cause immense damage.

While driving our 2015 crv a day after our initial purchase it began to shake violently at idle. So bad that in stop and go traffic it can cause the driver and passengers to start to feel sick. Honda has acknowledged the issue but says that it isn't a safety concern and it is a characteristic of the vehicle. Additionally the car vibrates and feels as if might die when slowing down at a stop light. The same thing that a manual might do if left in gear when slowing to a stop. Additionally the same thing can occur when initially accelerating. I feel that these are safety issues because they are distracting to the driver and the crv could eventually start stalling out in the middle of an intersection.

Purchased the 2015 crv in February 2015. Approximately a week after making the purchase, the vehicle began extensively vibrating while stopped at a stop light or stop sign, with the vehicle engaged in the drive position and the brake pedal was pressed. I immediately noticed that the rpm's dropped below 600. The vibration is felt in both the drivers and passengers seats, but moreso in the drivers seat. It feels as though the vehicle is going to stall out. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle as I have the constant fear that it is going to stall out at any given time. I have taken it in to the dealership service center on four occasions, but they state they cannot reproduce the problem so they have been of no help. This is a known problem by Honda, but it appears as though they are merely brushing it off in hopes that the complaints will stop.

The 2015 Honda Cr-v has a problem with a vibration while the car is stopped idle and in drive at slow speeds the idling occurs at every stop light, and in heavy highway bumper to bumper traffic. The vibrations are experienced in the front passenger and driver seats and center console. Drivers and passengers experience motion sickness including headaches, nausea. Any new passenger in my vehicle is startled by the vibrations. Every new passenger comments about the startling vibrations. Some passengers even scream due to the startling vibrations. All of this is extremely distracting to the driver who is trying to pay attention to the traffic. The car feels like it is hesitating and will stall when the gas petal is depressed. This has not happened yet, but the issue is getting worse not better. Honda admits to this issue, but offers no resolution and calls this merely an annoyance. This issue is getting worse and the manufacturer has been given a chance to fix the issue. I am not certain if the issue is the motor, transmission, or fuel injection system. It could be any of those systems. The attempt to make the Cr-v more fuel efficient by using the Honda accord's engine has been a failure and resulted in a major safety issue with the cars.

When the vehicle is stopped at idle with the brake pedal engaged a serious vibration develops. As the vehicle sets the vibration increases and the rpm's drop from appx. . 600 rpm to below 200p rpm. . When the rpm's recover the vehicle pulls against the breaks. When I remove my foot from the break pedal the vibration stops. Yesterday (5/19/2015) while stopped, the vehicle vibrated violently and then diesled and stalled while at a stop light. The full stall was a one time occurrence however the vehicle often approaches a stall while stopped with the brake . The vibration has been present since I purchased the vehicle in November 2014. When I took it to germaine Honda, the selling dealership, in ann arbor, I was told that the vibration is a "characteristic" of the vehicle. This seems like a flimsy excuse and quite frankly problem is beginning to worry me. The stall was serious and in traffic. The vibration is very pronounced and travels throughout the chassis. I have read on the Honda Cr-v owner forum that this is a very common and dangerous problem. It seems that Honda motors and their dealerships are simply ignoring the situation. I will take the vehicle to the dealer again next week . Thank you.
