2 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem

Failure Date: 04/19/2016

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Cr-v. While driving approximately 10 mph on a slope, the vehicle revved and did not stop when the brakes were applied. The contact slowly drove to the end of the slope and was able to stop. The vehicle was taken to three different dealers, but the cause of the failure could not be diagnosed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the vehicle was operating as designed. The failure recurred and was not remedied. Also, while driving approximately 15 mph on a different day, the alternator went out and the battery and check engine indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to another dealer where it was diagnosed and the alternator and drive belt were replaced. The failure mileage was approximately 14,600.
