36 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 01/20/2016

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Cr-v. While the vehicle was in the garage, the contact shifted into the drive position and the vehicle rolled backwards without warning. The vehicle crashed into the mailbox. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 7,500.

On three seperate occasions a warning light in the midi window an error message comes "some driver systems cannot operate".

38 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 01/06/2016

Bought a Honda crv-lx 2015 two months ago only to have a vibration problem after three weeks. Hondas fix was to put new head rest with shorter post and bushings under radiator, rear tail gate , transmission and engine so as to mask vibration problem. After doing this the steering became hard not like it was when we first got the vehicle, the steering goes from very easy to almost manual I consider this a safety problem. Unfortunately Honda of America will not acknowledge that it was a design flaw and the car should not be sold. It vibrated at a stop very bad then it feels like you have studded snow tires on at 40 to 50 miles an hour which they claim is a software fix there is a class action law suit in California against Honda for these problems.

39 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 12/17/2015

Vibrating when stop running and rpm rises when going down on a hill even whe push the brakes rises to 2500 rpm brakes or tires sound like grinding when coming to a stop.

40 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 12/11/2015

Intermittent vibration while at idle or 2200 rpm while driving. Taken to dealership for resolution 3-4 times but the problem persists. Was advised by dealership where vehicle was bought to seek help from another dealership. Manufacturer software upgrade did not address the issue, we were even advised the software update decrease fuel efficiency by 20%. Brand new car running like a worn-out vehicle. Honda says it is not a safety issue, firmly disagree, eventually consistent vibrations will cause parts to loosen. Do we have to wait for accidents to happen before Honda and the government to address this issue? when will consumer safety protection come first before profits and reputation? it is plain disgraceful. . .

41 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2015

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Cr-v. While driving 50 mph, the vehicle stalled and the acc and brake sensor indicators illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was able to restart on the fifth attempt, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was serviced per service bulletin number: 10086143 (power train, electrical system). In addition, the doors locked and unlocked independently. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, but the failure was unable to be duplicated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,300.

42 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 11/08/2015

Noticed vibration on the way home from the dealer. Vibration happens at ~60-70mph. Vibration is sometimes stronger or weaker and makes me dizzy a bit. Very annoying.

44 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 10/13/2015

We bought our 2015 Honda crv within a few months and less than 4,000 miles it started vibrating excessively looking online this seems to be a manufacturers problem. When we called the dealer they played dumb to any issues yet the amount of complaints our horrendous.

45 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 10/03/2015

I purchased a 2015 Cr-v. On October 1st noticing significant vibrations at idle which became more pronounced under way especially between 60 and 70 miles / hour. Brought the vehicle, to the dealer, on October 3rd to determine what the cause of the vibration might be. The vibrations were confirmed by the mechanic during a test drive. The front wheel alignment and balance were checked and found to be within specs. A service bulletin was found instructing the mechanic to perform a software update. A second test drive showed no improvement. Honda technicians were called who acknowledged that they were aware of the issue and that Honda was working on it (apparently since 2014). The technicians indicated that the issue was thought to be related to "harmonic distortions" associated with the use of the drive train, found in the Honda accord, in the 2015 Cr-v. The Honda technicians offered assurances that there were no safety issues. I then took the vehicle to a different dealer who checked the same mechanical parameters including the software update with no improvement. . Read more...

46 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 10/03/2015

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated while in an idle position the vehicle would excessively idle and when driving over speeds of 60 mph, the vehicle would wobble as well. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The dealer was unable to determine the exact cause of the defect. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. 47 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 10/02/2015

At a full stop with brake pedal applied, excessive vibration occurs from engine . Both passengers in front and rear can feel it along with driver. Rpms drop below 600. Feels like the vehicle is going to stall. Only occurs at full stop when warmed up with brake pedal applied. Seems like low rpm problem. Will bring back to dealer this week. It seems many others here are experiencing same problem. This vehicle has less than 4000 miles on it and was purchased new . Manufacture date was 02/15. Wondering if this is problem associated with the current recall. Please address. Thank you.

48 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 09/29/2015

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Honda crv. The contact stated that while driving about 40 mph, going down a hill, he put the vehicle on low gear but it failed to slow down. The vehicle kept going until full break was applied. There was no waring indicator. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer who inspected the vehicle and stated that "there was no problem with the vehicle". The manufacturer was not notified and the failure mileage was 2,000. Fe.

49 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 09/25/2015

Vibrations upon acceleration between 10-50 mph. I can hear and feel the vibration and it occurs every time I slow down below 30 and then accelerate again and every time I pull off from a complete stop. I took it to the dealership today and they said they were aware for the past few months of this issue and that Honda is working on a fix for the issue but as much as Honda engineers make, a month should be more than enough time to figure it out. I feel the issue will not fix itself and will get worse with time. My family uses this vehicle and being broke down on the side of the road seems unsafe to me especially with a new $30,000 vehicle.

50 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 09/12/2015

I purchased my Honda Cr-v touring 2015 on August 29, 2015,approximately five weeks ago. It has a vibration when stopped while in drive (like at a stop light or stop sign) it also has an intermittent strong vibration in the steering wheel on highways. I am very unhappy with my purchase and as I searched this problem on the internet, I've seen a lot of people are experiencing this problem. They all say when they take it back to the dealer it does not get repaired and apparently Honda is acknowledging that there is a problem now. Being that I work,I do not have time to go back to the dealer and sit there knowing (from other people's experiences) that it will not get corrected.

51 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2015

This only happened once. Going down short moderate hill on highway and all of a sudden the vehicle seemed to drop into a lower gear; as if, it had a standard transmission (has automatic). Then seemed to be in limbo for very short time, resumed as normal and have not had another incident. Very strange for a new vehicle.

52 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 08/15/2015

The Cr-v vibrates when stationary in park position and when you drive. It really shakes as you drive in the city stopping at stop signs or lights while in drive. It feels like engine could stop. It has a slight hesitation upon accelerating. This is with the a/c off. The a/c disguises the vibration when on mostly.

53 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 08/08/2015

I have previously complained about the vibration at idle, engine shudders on acceleration, and lack of acceleration on a highway merge on this site, the dealership, and to Honda, to no avail. This past weekend, the serpentine belt broke while I was 3 hours away from home. This renders the car unable to drive, and it had to be towed. We experienced strong vibrations in stop and go traffic before I smelled burnt rubber and pulled into a parking lot. Could there be a connection to the vibration, or is this another defect in this vehicle? as I read the posts, it is apparent that Honda is not disclosing the known vibrations to the public. This is at the least unethical. Does a fatality have to occur before something will be done?.

54 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2015

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that after completing a routine oil change and tire rotation, the tpms warning light continuously remained illuminated. While the vehicle was parked, the vehicle moved and made an abnormal transmission sound. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to identify the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.

55 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/30/2015

Car shaking vigorously when stopped in traffic and gears is engaged in drive mode, engine and transmission make loud noises when driving in low rpm between 1000 and 2000.

56 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/22/2015

When accelerating from a stop into a right or left turn and let up on the accelerator, then try to accelerate after making the turn, I experience a total loss of power. If I let up on the accelerator, and then press on the accelerator again the vehicle will accelerate normally. If instead when the vehicle loses power, and I continue to hold the accelerator pressed down the vehicle stays in a lost state of power until I take my foot off the accelerator and then press down again. This event happens 2 to 3 times per month since the car was delivered to me by the dealer. This is dangerous, especially if I am making a left turn or trying to accelerate onto an interstate highway 's on ramp. When reported to the dealer, I was told that this was normal for this car.

57 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 06/16/2015

Vibration felt at 20-25 mph and at higher speeds through the steering wheel and by sound with the vibration becoming stronger as the mileage increases. Discussions with the Honda dealership concerning a refund have not been fruitful. I am concerned that the problem may result in a crash; but Honda is very slow to resolve the issue.

58 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 06/10/2015

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Cr-v. While driving approximately 55 to 60 mph, the rpms surged and there was a disconnect with the transmission that caused the front wheels to seize. The failure recurred. The dealer and manufacturer were notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 5,000.

59 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 06/07/2015

Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Honda crv. The contact stated while driving at approximately 10 mph, approaching a stop sign the vehicle was idling so hard the vehicle shook. The contact returned to her residence. The contact drove to the dealer and the vehicle was diagnosed, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and the approximate failure mileage was 200 miles. Am.

60 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 06/03/2015

2015 Honda Cr-v: unusual vibration at stop with gear shift in drive mode and loud mum sound when driving between 15 to 25 mph similar to all other complaints on this 2015 model.

61 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2015

Since day one there has been a strong vibration at idle. The engine will be at 650-700 rpms and then drops to 500. It shakes uncontrollably when the rpms drop at a light or while idling. I've taken it in 3 times with no repair success.

62 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 05/27/2015

Very strong vibration at idle. Very annoying and can cause harm to my body and it really makes me regret buying the car each time I stop at a stop signal or at a red light. I have filed a complaint with both the dealer and Honda to take back my costly brand new crv 2015 touring for a full refund. I haven't heard back from them yet.

63 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 05/19/2015

Strong engine vibrations: purchased vehicle may 2015 and after I drove the vehicle a few days a strong vibration was felt from the engine while stopped and in drive. Vibration is also felt while in park. Honda has acknowledge the defect on web site but refuses to alert the customers via wide alert. Honda issued a bulletin for a three mode "fix" that did not fix the problem. Two different Honda dealers have tried the procures provided in the bulletin with no avail. I repeatedly take it back to the Honda dealer but now they will not open a service ticket stating " we've done all we can do" had I known of this problem I would have not purchased. What am I to do now with this vehicle that I can't even trade in because other dealers know about this issue with the 2015 Honda crv.

64 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 05/19/2015

Shortly after purchasing I noticed a engine vibration when stopped or idling. Called dealer to complain and they said they were aware of the issue and that Honda was working on it. I would not Ave bought the car if I would have noticed it sooner. Totally unacceptable. This is very annoying and distracting.

65 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 05/04/2015

2015 Honda Cr-v vibrates at idle while in gear just like everybody else's. I have also noticed extremely loud engine noise for a new car while at idle in gear or in park as well. Noise and vibration begun at about 141 miles.

66 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 04/13/2015

Engine rpm drops at idle in drive creating very strong vibration. Honda is aware of problem but does not have a fix yet. This car is brand new.

67 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 04/10/2015

Took delivery of 2015 crv exl on 04-09-15. Found pronounced drive train shudder while operating vehicle at speeds from idle to 30mph at 1000-1250 rpm. Returned veh. To lia Honda in northampton mass. Where technician was able to duplicate and document complaint. Service writer states that Honda is aware of issue but has no fix. My 2011 crv ran smooth as glass. Honda has been the benchmark for quality vehicles but has really dropped the ball on the 2015 crv. If a machine shudders or vibrates when in operation there is an indication that it was mis-designed, something is broken or will break in the near future. Real shame that Honda released this vehicle with this known problem. Will certainly become a safety issue if something comes apart in the powertrain while the vehicle is at speed.

68 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2015

I have bought 2015 Honda cr v on 29th March 2015. I have feel vibration and shudder in driver as well as passenger seat while idling at traffic light or speeding from 20 miles to 50 miles. It is very annoying and distracting while driving. It can be safety concern while driving also.

69 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 03/30/2015

Vibrations felt thru steering column, pedals and floor in the rpm range 1,000-1,500. Happens during all normal driving speeds, very annoying and have requested a full refund. Honda should not be able to sell without fully disclosing this defect. I would like to join a class action suit if not fully refunded.

70 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 03/28/2015

Power train started to do unnecessary a pushing and pulling. This could be several things or a combination of throttle sensor (drive by wire throttle), g-force sensor, software cvt auto-calibration that never got turned off and software cvt auto-calibration buffer overrun every 4400000 meters. These are all potential safety issues by inducing more dynamic tensions outside the designed intentions where the power train parts will fail and creating a loss of power train and inducing a crash during normal driving conditions. These are all design and manufacturing issues covered under warranty; however, Honda refuses to be responsible for these.
