Radio/tape Cd Player problems of the 2017 Honda CR-V

Gear shift button popped out while driving: I was driving with my children in the car, the button popped out as I was trying to drop them off at school. This could have been a truly deadly situation in a crowded drop off because the car would not go to park. Thankfully I quickly recovered from shock, hit the brakes and scrambled to grab the piece that had fallen to the floor of the car. The button piece looks cheap, so now the coil is exposed. I can't just stick my finger in so I am going to need to tape the button back on until I get it fixed. This is an obvious recall issue since so many people have mentioned it. I wouldn't have reported it if I didn't see so many online complaints.

The touchscreen is horrible. Delayed response often when touching any of the features like audio, changing preset stations on the radio etc. . . Freezes up often and the "brightness" feature would appear on the screen by itself and the only way to get ride of it is to turn the engine off and restart the engine. I have numerous videos of the issue. Complained to dealership even bought it in to have it looked at when the issue is happening so they can see it realtime and troubleshoot. Unfortunately they were not able to diagnose the issue the only resolution was to do a factory reset of the touchscreen. I am still having issues. The dealership recommend me to contact Honda directly to report issue. They can't replace the touch screen without Honda corporate office approving.

The led screen goes out of control. Words and images become scrambled and it keeps buzzing constantly. I have no control over any settings including the radio. This has happened numerous times both in motion and stationary. If I stop and turn off vehicle and turn it back on it seems to correct itself for a while.

Push knob on my gear shift broke off while putting my car into park. I was able to tape the knob into place so I would be able to drive my car back home and change gears.

Radio does mute when navigation system gives voice commands, forcing driver to look at display and thus distracting driver at critical times, e. G. , intersections and exits. Honda states it is aware of condition but no fix appears to be available.

Letter from senator brown inquiry on behalf of constituent in regards to a 2017 Honda crv 1. 5 awd ex-l and the car saying it came with a hd radio but does not. The consumer stated according to an invoice the vehicle was supposed to be equipped with an hd radio, but it was not installed. The consumer was advised that since the no cost was added to the vehicle for the radio it would not be installed. The consumer requested to have the radio installed or receive it's fair market value.
