1 Fuel Pump problem

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while driving 65-70 mph, the vehicle loss motive power, jerked and then stalled. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the coils and spark plugs however, the failure recurred. On another occasion, while driving 20 mph, the vehicle jerked and loss motive power. The vehicle was then taken to another independent mechanic, who diagnosed the vehicle with a failure to the fuel pump. The vehicle was not repaired. Primo Honda (777 industrial rd, san carlos, CA 94070) was made aware of the failure however, the contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The dealer declined to sell the contact the fuel pump part due to a possible liability issue. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed to the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer declined to provide information on which fuel pump part was needed. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 21v215000 (fuel system, gasoline). The approximate failure mileage was 92,000.
