The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact noticed that the cruise control on the vehicle became inoperable with multiple warning lights illuminated. The contact stated the cruise control light would not engage at all and the brakes would inadvertently engage with no ongoing traffic. The contact also stated that the vehicle stalled and the accelerated speed would also fluctuate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made not aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

The contact also stated that the forward collision avoidance: automatic emergency braking feature activated inadvertently without other vehicles nearby. The dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 56,000.
