Eight problems related to adaptive cruise control have been reported for the 2022 Honda CR-V. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Please also check out the statistics and reliability analysis of the 2022 Honda CR-V based on all problems reported for the 2022 CR-V.
The module for the interpretation of sensor output caused the reporting of false alerts. The vehicle is available for inspection. My safety was compromised by 10 alerts recurring alerts as I was driving at the posted speed on in interstate highway. The problem has not been reproduced. The Honda dealer inspected the vehicle at my expense. Only the Honda dealer has inspected the vehicle. The vehicle’s system indicators panel displayed the false alerts. See the attached . Pdf files. The false alerts included warning sounds. 2024-12-10_cr-v_false-alerts. Pdf 2024-12-10_cr-v_false-alerts. Jpg 2024-12-18_cr-v_diagnostics_false-alerts. Pdf.
I was driving on a straight road (daylight, dry conditions) in my 2022 Honda Cr-v (mid trim level) using my adaptive cruise control. The closest cars ahead of me, and in the periphery, were at least three quarters of a mile away. All of a sudden, the car, independent of me, slammed on the brakes. Fortunately, this did not cause an accident, but 10 minutes earlier, when I was on a crowded interstate during rush hour, the result might have been very different. As I reflect on this incident, I realize that this has happened at least twice before. However, in those cases, I thought the front sensor had picked up a curved barricade or something. But no! apparently the Cr-v randomly slams on the brakes. Clearly this is a dangerous situation that needs to be resolved. Ideally there will be a recall within the next few months to replace whatever component is causing this problem to happen.
The automatic emergency warning light came on 4 times when there was no reason it should have come on bc there was no chance of a collision. Two of those times the automatic braking system was activated. This was dangerous. The dealer said there is no recall and nothing they can do. In addition, many warnings appeared on the dash one after another… tire press monitor problem, brake system problem, brake hold system problem, power steering system prob, vehicle stability assist prob, adaptive cruise control prob, collision mitigation system prob, road depart. Sys prob, electric parking brake problem, low brake fluid, and warned to stop ASAP and put on brake.
If the car is parked outside on a day where temperatures exceed 95 degrees fahrenheit, it causes the front sensor camera to malfunction. This is a common issue with crvs and is heavily documented in online forums. The overheating results in the vehicle’s features dependent on the camera and sensors to malfunction, causing a serious driving safety issues. The car’s audible notification system also goes off, resulting in constant beeping chimes while driving the vehicle.
There have been approximately 10 times I was driving my crv and was exiting the interstate onto the exit ramp with no cars in front of me and the automatic brakes came on attempting to stop my car for no reason. I took it to my local Honda dealership and told them what had happened and they said there was nothing they could do about it. This is a dangerous issue and could easily cause an accident.
While driving in adaptive cruise control car applied brake even though no vehicle present can n front of the car. This lead to car behind me apply the brakes. This could be dangerous in future.
The car started sounding an alarm and flashing an idiotic warning message that says "adaptive cruise control problem". Yes it said "problem. " it also flashed a message that said "brake system. " I called the dealer and they instructed me how to turn off adaptive cruise control, and it did not stop the alarm and the flashing messages. They told me it was ok to drive and to bring it in to the dealer. I did that. Had to get ride so I could leave the car. The alarm stopped on the way to the dealer. The next day they told me they could not find what was wrong with the car, but it was ok to drive, and it if happened again, take a video. If they didn't know what was wrong with the car, how did they know it was safe to drive? I picked up the car and a couple days later it did the same thing. Even turning the car off and cranking it back up would not make it stop. I did stop and take videos of the flashing messages, which are attached here, and also sent them to the dealer. I took the car in and they said they got the videos, and they would now be able to fix it. The next day they said come pick it up, but said they thought it needed the front radar/camera replaced but they did not have one. They said it would be July before they could get the part. But they continued to say it is safe to drive. Since then, it had done this several more times, and I took videos again. Those are attached as well. They called today and said it would be August before they could get the parts. I strongly suspect that they do not actually know what it wrong, and that they have not done any actual microelectronic or software troubleshooting, and they are just guessing that this part will fix it. I am now forced to drive a car that is questionably safe. I mean, when an alarm sounds and a warning light flashes that says "brake system" how can it be safe to drive?.
-the car is rolling right and left even during the lane keeping assistance is on. -the driver seat started to deteriorate. -the air-condition compressor start to be noisy, no enough cooling even though it was winter season. - during the moderate bad weather all driver assist system cannot operate, while my last vehicle was better ( Hyundai elantra). - remote start engine does not work properly, while other cars is working ( same model, and same distance and direction).
