I am having problems with my car starting… even after replacing the starter 3 times. I am having the exact issue referenced in TSB no. 16-002. I can hear the grinding noise but due to the incorrect positioning of the torque converter ring gear, the starter isn’t spinning the engine at startup even after replacing the starter. I can’t afford to keep replacing the starter and have my car not start everyday. Is Honda able to help with this issue?.

Car was due for timing belt maintenance at 100k miles. Timing belt and related parts were changed August 2023. I was told belt will last 100k miles. October 2024, 13. 5 months later, the belt fails and causes catastrophic damage to the engine. My son had to push the car to the side the highway when this happened. Honda service said the engine is “toast” and is a cost of $7,000 to be replaced. Reached out to Honda corporate for help due to defective part. They said the part had a 12 month warranty and the car is too old to help you. I can only trust the people but so much but I should be able to trust the parts when they are oem. Disappointed Honda no longer stands behind it parts.

Starter intermittently grinds and does not start or nothing happens at all. There is a known problem with this issue.
The engine is consuming excess oil,and code p3497 shows up. Low oil light doesn't come on,although there is no oil on dipstick. Service bulletin says software update needed, but my dealer claims my engine not on there. Left bank stuck is second indicator of failure in variable timiming.

Starter does not engage, when button is pushed often the starter simply spins. Tried battery replacement, did research and found there is a common issue with this vehicle where the starter isn't aligned quite properly.
Car vibrates excessively when idling or in park. Have three thousand miles on odometer and problem seems to be getting worse. Started happening immediately after purchasing car.
When attempting to accelerate from a stoplight, a slight push on the gas pedal has no effect on the car. Since there is no reaction from the car I will push down slightly further on the gas pedal in which case the car absolutely takes off and almost spins tires. Very dangerous in certain situations, especially with the more powerful v6 engine I have in my Crosstour. This happens at least once a month and scares the living hell out of me. Next time I buy a car, I am getting on this website first. All but one Crosstour complaint is specifically related to this issue.
When stopped at intersection and taking foot off brake to proceed, occasionally car will not move forward with moderate gas pedal pressure. Backing off the gas slightly gets car going forward. Engine does not quit during these episodes, it just will not move car unless gas pedal position is changed by backing off a little. This can be very panic-inducing when timing cross-traffic for a crossing or merge.
A/c condenser damaged from road debris (gravel).
