Tl - the contact owns a 2010 Honda Crosstour. The contact stated that on a Saturday the warning light for the oil indicated that the oil was at 15%. The contact stated the next day, Sunday, after coming out their driveway while stopped at a stop sign they noticed smoke coming from the hood of the vehicle. The contact noticed that the smoke went from a light amount to a heavy black color. The contact decided to backup and pull the vehicle over. The contact got out the vehicle and took their grandson at the vehicle. The contact notice a leaking coming from under the front end of the vehicle then shortly after fire came from under the hood of the vehicle. The contact stated the fire department put out the fire and a report was made. The contact and passenger had not received any injuries. The contact contacted the dealership (southern motor Honda savannah GA) however, due to the damage the vehicle has to be inspected by insurance and not by the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000. Gl.
