The slider was closed when the failure occurred and prevented glass from entering the vehicle. There were no injuries. The dealer (kendall Honda of fairbanks, 1000 Cadillac CT, fairbanks, ak 99701, (855) 981-5607) recommended that the vehicle be serviced at frontier glass (3401 peger rd b, fairbanks, ak 99709, (907) 451-4527). Frontier glass repaired the vehicle. The contact no longer owned the vehicle as it was traded in for a 2017 Honda ridgeline. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. Upon acceleration from a traffic stop, the sunroof shattered causing shards of glass to fall into the vehicle. The sunroof was completely closed at the time. This was not a gentle "break and crack", but a violent shatter of glass. One 8 year old passenger seated in the rear middle seat sustained a cut removing glass from his seat.
