Engine will stall in the middle of driving. Honda has a recall for the 2007 Elements with this exact problem, however they claim that this vehicle is not part of this recall. This has happened a few times but most recently I was provided more information on occurrence.

The contact owns a 2005 Honda Element. While driving at 50 mph, the vehicle accelerated independently and the engine stalled without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 208,000.

In cold weather and cold starts. Engine stalls at stops. Slowing down between 15 mph and 0 mph engine stalls. Slowing down to make a turn engine will stall during turn. Lose steering ability when engine stops.
