1 Suspension problem of the 2017 Honda FIT

Failure Date: 11/11/2021

I brought my Honda in to easy Honda in spring branch texas for some electrical problems. Turned out to be a fuse but I had to wait two extra hours until a mechanic who could use the computer came in. The front tie rod ends are completely shot on a well cared for car after only 17000 miles. And they want $250 to fix it. My son is a licensed mechanic and let me know that on a Honda those should never wear out and even in a gm product they are good for 80,000 miles. I also had the rubber shield around the oil drain area and I had to cut most of it away so I could drive it. The service writer said it was unnecessary so they would remove the rest. Well of course they lied and did not. What is really incredible is after he did what he need to do my gas mileage increased 10%! so what was wrong before that the computer fixed that I didn't know and still don't. Everyone their is a bs artist out to rip you off. When penske owned the dealership it was great now they lie cheat and doubled the prices. I wish there was someone at Honda with a brain and cared about there formerly great reputation I could speak to.

2 Suspension problem of the 2019 Honda FIT

Failure Date: 03/31/2021

I took car in for snow tire change over and the tire shop said car need alignment done, because the tire wear was consistent out alignment, the next day I took alignment shop, after they align the car, they ask me if the car was ever in crash, which I state no because it was not. Car not but it overdue alignment because had about 17,000 miles on it, the rear axle was out alignment and they said cannot be align. So, I call Honda of America and they had me take to dealer to verify, which after verifying in alignment. I drove back the tire shop they rear measure again and the rear still out alignment. However, the toe one the right rear had change from 3 days of normal form -0. 02 degrees to +0. 09 degree different of . 11 degree and left rear move in toe about . 04 degree. The tire repair shop did quick google search say these cars have habit flex and twisting the rear axle. I have bought the car new in July 2020, ask dealership about this issue and what because they said it from driving in connecticut and new england aka pothole and bumps in the road from normal driving. Please note the dealership used alignment measure device you drive thru while the tire shop used a lift and mirror and lasers to measure. I believe increase tire wear in back will be problem and lower over the controls of the vehicle as wheel not tracking right down the road. I believe the rear axle in undersize for the car or has flaw in the metal that used the build the cars. I would up the report, but they contain VIN number.

10 Suspension problem of the 2015 Honda FIT

Failure Date: 12/22/2018

My Honda dealership told me that my car could not be properly aligned without a shim which the service department could not get their hands on. They had tried several providers. They stated "this must be a recurring problem with this make/model car. " this, after being told that I must replace two tires due to excessive wear. I had replaced all four tires @ 34,520 miles, and now at 58,867 I was needing to replace two tires again. They said that because of the toe, I was essentially dragging my rear tires causing excessive wear and tear. Not to mention reducing gas mileage. This appears to be a manufacturing issue after looking on-line at whether or not other's are experiencing the same issue. Please look into this.

13 Suspension problem of the 2007 Honda FIT

Failure Date: 06/23/2017

Car has developed cracks on the welding around both front struts mounts. This are clear signs of metal fatigue on a car that is less than 10 years old. Car has zero accident and there is no rust or signs of any other factor that may had affected the structure. This cracks are a threat to the driver's safety because the strut may perforate the body/frame of the car and hit the windshield while on the road. This cracks are very hard to find due to the location were are developed, and there are not other factors that may warn the driver about the issue. This metal fatigue cracks look exactly as the described by multiple owners on the rear of the car. The big difference, is that the cracks on the rear of the car only cause water to leak into the trunk, with is not a big safety concern. Honda stated that because the car is already out of warranty there is nothing they can do about it.
