1 Vsa Warning Light On problem of the 2013 Honda FIT

Failure Date: 08/03/2019

It was raining. I was on the highway, cruise control set at 65 mph. At this point, the road curves to the right. I had just gone through a dip in the road and I think I may have been hydroplaning. The vsa light came on and the ride became very choppy. I started pumping the brakes and I tried to steer my car to stay in the lane but the steering wheel locked up and I couldn't move it. I continued on a straight path even though the road curved. I was on the left hand shoulder, heading off the road completely, still trying to steer to the right when the vsa light abruptly turned off. At this point the steering wheel suddenly unlocked and I inadvertently pulled it hard to the right; sending me across 2 lanes of traffic, across the right hand shoulder, over a small curb and into the dirt/desert. As this was happening, I was able to correct my steering back to the left but not before I was completely off the right hand side of the road and hit a small hill next to it with the right side of my car. At this point, I managed to get my vehicle back on the right shoulder of the road. I took my car to the Honda dealer to have it checked. They said my tires were bald which caused me to hydroplane. Regardless of the condition of the tires, when the vsa is engaged, I should still be able to steer the car but I couldn't. The technician ran the diagnostic test(s) and said he found nothing wrong. Something is definitely wrong when your steering wheel locks up at close to 65 mph when a safety feature is engaged.

Tl the contact owns a 2013 Honda Fit. The contact stated that the warning indicators illuminated for the electronic stability control, traction, and brake lights. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer. An independent mechanic diagnosed that the vsa module failed to function and needed to be replaced. In addition, the battery continued to have a low voltage and was replaced; however, the contact was uncertain if the failure would recur. The manufacturer was notified and indicated that the vehicle was not included in any recalls for the electrical system. The contact was excluded from NHTSA campaign number: 13v157000 (electronic stability control). The approximate failure mileage was 32,300.

3 Vsa Warning Light On problem of the 2015 Honda FIT

Failure Date: 04/09/2016

My assist stability system is defected. . I had my car 2 years as of Dec 15, 2015. The first problem 4 months after bought it noise in the engine. . Now from Dec 2, 2018 to january22, 2018 in this short period of time I had all this work done to that defective car which gaplin Honda dealership located at 11151 laurel canyon, mission hills, CA knew all about, because if the service director steve would not have ordered all this work to be done and the assist stability system lights are still on as we speak. Let me tell you all the work done in a 50 day period (that's ridiculous) a brand new . Battery sensor (I paid) a new Honda battery,(I paid) a new alternator( told them I was not @#$% paying because you know its a defect) they said they, cleared pcm ecm, tighten ground connectors if needed, installed powertrain control unit(they know I wasn't paying , they text me "you don't have to pay " bs . The problem still exist all three lights stay on tire pressure, stability light, power sterring light (assist stability system) Honda knew when they sold me the car it had a defect , only one owner leased it for 12 months Honda put it up for sale Dec 10, 2015 I bought it Dec 15, 2015 five days later with only 29, 416 miles on it ; nothing should have been wrong with this car. Honda has a class action suit against them regarding their "defective assist stability system " same problem like minds Honda knew that's why they were praying the lights wouldn't never come back on so they can stick me with this defective car I still have it as we speak with all 3 lights on. Look on "gotclassaction. Com/Honda defect assist stability system I comment on it in Dec this year (valerie k. ). Honda was just throwing shit up against the wall to see if it will stick. I have all my documentation, videos , pictures and text from my Honda advisor to back every word I stated up to the "t" thank you.

4 Vsa Warning Light On problem of the 2009 Honda FIT

Failure Date: 12/08/2011

Dec. 8th, 2011 - 18694 miles Dec. 8th, 2012 - 24941 miles Dec. 21st, 2012 - 25225 miles March 30th, 2013 - 28300 miles the problem is that suddenly the car losses power while driving, it does not respond to any action and stalls; the engine and vsa lights come on. The exact same incident occurred at each one of the dates provided. Every time this happened I took the vehicle to the dealership service department, got it back supposedly fixed, and with the assurance that the problem had been taken care of, obviously this is not the case. The problem persists, the car has broken down on an average of every 3,000 miles. From the very first time, besides been told by the service advisor (mary roe) at courtesy Honda in sanford, FL; I knew without any doubt that we were dealing with a safety issue. I am submitting the information pertinent to these occurrences because my confidence in this car is compleatly eroded since the nature of the problen could definitely be the cause of a crash, injury or death. I consider myself fortunate enough to have been driving on local roads every time this problem has occurred, the result of this type of malfunction on an expessway could certainly have been disastrous. Since March 30th, 2013 the car has been in the shop, and it has proven difficult communicating with Honda. Their willingness to assist me with this less than safe and unreliable vehicle, seems to be decreasing rapidly with each new incident. Any assistance your office provides on this matter will be immensely appreciated. Maria e. Esh-sheikh.
