Brakes Failed Problems of Honda HR-V

December 27, 2019 my daughter caitlynn was driving her 2016 hrv lx on ira hicks blvd near 341 east in ft valley georgia. A semi-truck pulling a lowboy trailer was stop at a rail spur crossing with the rail arms down and red lights flashing. The brakes fail causing her car to crash into the rear of the semi-truck. The airbags did not deploy in the crash. Caitlynn sustained minor injuries to the face and neck.

Tl the contact owns a 2019 Honda Hr-v. The contact stated that the driver's and passenger's side front and rear door failed to lock intermittently. Additionally, the automatic brake assist failed to function as designed. The contact stated that on several occasions after going over a bump in the roadway, the instrument panel became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to hertrich Honda of easton (6546 ocean gateway, easton, MD 21601), on several occasions however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.

Had accident when brakes failed about 5 months ago. Honda never accepted responsibility. Cited driver error. Got car back. Drive about 4 months. Brakes failed again March 19, 2019. Same exact circumstances. This time I kept my food on pedal I depressed until car hit parked car. My foot was on brake pedal. So far hrv's from 2016, 18 and 19 have been recalled for brake problems.

Total brake failure in winter weather. Breaks completely fail to stop the vehicle at a speed of 30 miles in winter. Breaks completely fail to stop the vehicle causing a serious crash. When I applied breaks to stop the car at a stop sign the vehicle failed to come to stop as expected and cause a dangerous accident. Unable to control the vehicle I ended up crashing on to the vehicle in the front. The vehicle suffered serious damaged making it a total loss.
