Valve cover started leaking after 3rd oil change in dealership. Took it in and they retorqued to factory spec, applied silicone and cleaned it under the included drivetrain warranty. They did not replace my valve cover like I thought they would. This should not be happening on a year old vehicle with about 15900 miles.

Dear sir/madam while driving on 128 southbound the message came on the screen 12 volt battery charging system problem. Do not drive. Time 10. 54am. The noise would start in the engine compartment while accelerating, then a smell entered the cabin of the car. I pulled over one mile after at a nearby service area and when I opened up the hood I have discovered a loose belt and a loose pulley. I towed the car to the 128 Honda in reading, MA. The service didn't do much to investigate the issue and instigated that because I did not do an oil change at Honda dealer they cannot cover the malfunction by warranty until Honda corp approves it. I did my own investigation and found a broken off bolt laying in the bottom of the engine cover. I showed the discovery to them and then they voided a 240$ diagnostics charge. Then the real mechanic showed up by accident, saw the bolt and said that it did not surprise him at all. I think that the bolt pulleys bolts were overtightened and over the time they snap loose. Big issue is present for a new model 2023 Honda Hr-v and later editions possibly. Thank you dmitry gurvich.

The car stalls randomly while driving. Has stalled 5 times in less than a year. 3 times while accelerating and 2 times while coming to a stop at a stop sign. Car was dropped off to dealer for a couple days and testing and evaluated. Dealer service could not determine an issues with any systems. Car being dropped off again to the dealer today.

I parked, turned the car off and then my boyfriend, me and my dog went for 30 min walks. When we came back, we started seeing smoke coming out from a front hood, there were also flame on the right front side of the car. I immediately called 911 to describe the situation. While we were waiting for fire department, the car exploded. Insurance report stated no visual sign of tampering and fire department stated same thing.

On two separate occasions during February this has occurred. While at a stop sign with the brake floored the engine revved and the car started to slowly inch forward. Later in the month, at a convenience store, before shifting into park the brake was thoroughly depressed and the engine once again revved and the car started to inch forward. It only stopped when I pushed on the brake with all my might. The car had had its yearly inspection in January.

I was driving on the interstate in cruise, the car engine started revving hard. My speed jumped up to 85mph. Then all of a sudden the vehicle jerked hard and I lost all acceleration. The car rapidly decelerated. Then, the power steering, check engine, vehicle stability assist, electric parking brake, and low tire pressure lights all came on. As well as the gear indicator was unable to show if I was in drive, park, or neutral. The vehicle became very sluggish and started stuttering I had to carefully navigate between other cars flying past me until I was able to get to the side of the road, I was almost hit 3 times, once by a semi-truck. Once I got it to the side of the road I was unable to get the car to move at all. The engine would rev but the car would not move. The car was towed to the local Honda dealer in evansville, in. The dealership said that the cvt transmission belt had shattered and that the transmission needed to be replaced. I asked them about the TSB number: 21-047. They stated that I am out of the 7-year / 150k mile extended warranty so it is going to cost $7,662 to replace it. The vehicle has only 72,000 on it. I could have been killed or severely injured when this happened on the interstate.

While stuck in the middle lane, the contact was rear-ended on the right side by an 18-wheeler and tossed to the left side of the highway crashing into a barricade on the left front side of the vehicle. I was driving the car home from work and all of the warning lights on the dashboard came on- the check engine light, tire pressure light, traction control light, brake warning light, and the park emergency brake light. The "park" sign and p/r/d light lights were flashing. The car would not accelerate past 35 miles without it kicking back. I was terrified to drive the car on the interstate due to the acceleration kick back. I had to take a longer route home. I prayed the entire way. I keep up with my car maintenance with oil changes, etc. I even had the transmission fluid changed one year prior to this event. I had no prior issues, messages, symptoms, or other problems with this car prior to this event. It happened suddenly. I took the car to the dealership who initially told me the issue was a p0793 sensor and then a week later informed me that I needed a new transmission. I bought this car brand new, and it currently has 90,000 miles on it. Honda posted a bulletin in April 2021 they are aware that this make, and model has transmission issues, but because I am one year outside of the extended warranty, they are not willing to work with me.

This vehicle has some serious acceleration problems. Not only has this vehicle gone into limp mode on me on a very busy city road when it was only a couple of weeks old, but it also takes forever for it to accelerate when pulling into traffic or while going up a hill. I have to press the gas pedal all the way down to the floor and still get nothing until I let up and press the gas again. I have had problems where the car will "spudder" and almost die as I'm exiting the highway coming to a stop and today it actually did completely die as I exited the highway and came to a stop at a red light. No check engine light or anything.

The parking brake engages on and off when the car is turned off. There are 3 lights flashing -check engine light -the word “park” - the parking brake light I have had the code read and it says it is the evap canister purge valve which has already been replaced, the light went off temporarily and it’s back on again. The transmission is noisy when accelerating. The purge valve keeps going bad for no apparent reason and the parking brake randomly engaging and disengaging when the car is turned off leads me to believe there is an issue overall with the build of the car. I am worried the emergency brake will engage when driving.

Car would not turn off. Says vehicles remote keyless start system problem. Won't shut off vehicle motor. Tried for over 10 minutes to turn off vehicle. Had to risk injury by removing battery terminal cable. It's been 2x it has happen. Honda sounds like recalled or extended warranty for 2016-2018 but not 2019.

I was never notified of the cvt belt software update and now I have to replace my whole transmission. Very frustrating how I was not informed so I can try to update before it goes out and I'm stuck. How did this happen?.

Engine failed to start when turning the key in the ignition. Occurred three separate occasions within 30 days @ 18,000. Engine light and electronic steering system lights remained on. Vehicle started after waiting one hour. On the third occasion, the car was towed to the dealer, and a service advisor experienced the same issue. However, 30 minutes later, a mechanic was able to start the engine at every attempt. There were no warning lights, other than the lights remaining on the dashboard when attempting to turn the key. (I have video of the experience - please see photo). I am submitting this notice because on all 3 occasions, Honda dealer performed diagnostics, but could not find an issue that caused the failed start. I was reluctant to keep a car with a problem that statistically would reoccur in the future, or perhaps might experience an even worse electrical problem. The dealer "bought" the car back, and sold me a 2024 - same model. There were some additional costs and of course the interest rate was higher. I agreed to all of the conditions for the new purchase, and I believe the dealer did right by me with the purchase of the newer model. However, 3 days after I purchased the 2024 Hr-v, the dealer put the 2022 Hr-v on the lot and is attempting to resell it. I find this wrong and possibly a risk to the new owner. I have every reason to believe the issue for the faulty electrical system was not discovered over the short time (3 days) from when I turned in the car, and when I saw it on the lot for resell. Other than the electrical issue, the vehicle was very reliable and I took very good care with it. If not for anticipating the problem would reoccur when I was driving or wouldn't start in an emergency, or perhaps reoccur after the warranty expired, I traded it in to the dealer and purchased a new 2024 model. The differential broke. I was unable to accelerate on the road; it froze up. I had to pull over and couldn't drive it. I was just outside of the Honda dealer when it happened. I took it to the Honda dealer service center in MD and this was their diagnosis. I didn't take it anywhere else. There were no warnings except I heard rattling when I was at a lower speed the same afternoon about 3 hours earlier. Otherwise, I had just completed a 100k service literally 2 weeks beforehand at Honda service and the Honda service center didn't report anything wrong with the car.

Driving smoothly 67 mph on 210 freeway in azusa California car suddenly lost acceleration in heavy traffic. . Steered car 4 lanes over than exited off ramp. Car had some low acceleration all warning lights flashing on my dash. . None made any indication what's wrong. . Had car towed to Honda. . Said it was the transmission! Honda had recall before this. . Took it in. . They adjusted it but when I got it back it was reving too high rpm at 65 mph took it back again and they said it was fine. . I don't think so than this happened!.

Six times on the interstate when we press on the gas it does nothing. The dealer told us it's in the software and was designed that way.

I purchased the vehicle on 2/17/22 and shortly afterwards started noticing problems starting with acceleration car wouldn’t go past 45 mph or lower. The car radio system has static can’t get reception; the battery died requiring a jump. On 9/21/22 and January 10, 2023 I took car to dealer about these problems and other concerns and they said couldn’t verify my concerns. On 5/9/23 I set out for my first long distance trip from vallejo CA, to las vegas nv after driving approximately 200-300 miles the dashboard light up light a christmas tree with several system problem warnings as follow: power steering system (eps) problem, road departure mitigation, vehicle stability assist (vsa) problem, emissions system problem, all wheel drive system problem, brake system problem, brake hold system problem, hill start assist problem, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic brake distribution (ebd) continuously flashing, hold brake light, oil light flashing and the drivers and front passenger airbag light flashing. I had to stop in los angeles CA, Honda service center and they couldn’t do a diagnostic test that day and warning lights went off after technician disabled the road departure mitigation system and was told it was safe to continue on to vegas. However, all warning light as mentioned came back on and remained on. I took the car to Honda west in vegas on 5/11/23 and was told car had a misfiring code. Diagnostic test performed and multiple repair codes were detected but they couldn’t duplicate concerns, took fuel sample test and it passed, cleared dtcs performed final test verified no dtcs returned or currently present/stored and they returned car to me. On 5/15/23 left vegas and the same system warning lights came back on, stopped in los angeles again and stayed overnight and the lights were off the next morning. I took vehicle to avery green Honda after speaking to sales manager sean shahid where the car remains to date for further diagnostic testing.

In November 2022, before I even drove off the lot, when I noticed and asked about a rattling noise coming from the passenger-side front window, I was told it was normal because it’s a brand-new car. Within a few hundred miles, I began to experience issues with the car, felt the electrical problems and car felt shaky and unstable. As this continued, I’ve received a reminder from Honda about the three years of service and to schedule an appointment with a certified dealer. And I did, this is also when brought up the fact that I feel and experiences issues with the car, but it remained ignored. Fast-forward to spring 2023, issues worsen, while driving with a minor in a rear-facing car seat, I heard a loud noise that sounded like gunfire. It took a moment to realize that the rear windshield had suddenly shattered without a warning. This incident caused severe emotional distress, especially given the presence of a minor child in the vehicle. Since may 2023, the certified dealer failed to resolve the ongoing and swishing wind noise coming from the rear. This left us and our child with no safe, no reliable transportation on forward. Then, the vehicle began to turn off its monitors and exhibit more electrical malfunctions, along with engine problems. I continued bringing the vehicle in and its complimentary services and routine maintenance, reporting the problems each time, but nothing was ever resolved. Throughout the years the issues continue to worsen. Most recently, the front windshield cracked spontaneously, and within a few weeks again heard the gunfire, at that time around the sunroof, exploded suddenly and shattered without any external impact or warning. That day I’ve re-routed from and to the local dealer, slowly with the hazard lights as the shattered glass began to spread. Same day the dealer accepted the vehicle, for warranty repairs, service, further complimentary inspection that revealed even more issues. But soon after this dealer refused. . . [see attached].

Transmission failed. Left in heavy traffic with no way to move car. Yes, the vehicle has been inspected by Honda. No warnings before the failed transmission occurred. Sitting at stop light, when gas pedal depressed, no forward or backward movement.

The vehicle started to encounter mechanical issues 10 days after delivery. The vehicle's radio, apple carplay, bluetooth, and anti-theft system/radio unit started to encounter electrical issues, stating it had lost power. The issues were not as common at first but, grew to be persistent as the vehicle continued to be driven. The vehicle was in for service approximately 1-2 weeks ago from today's date and all the issues have started again. The issues that persist are the vehicle not being able to start multiple times in a week (does not depend if the vehicle is hot or cold, and/or if the vehicle has been recently driven or sitting), apple carplay consistently disconnecting, the anti-theft system/radio unit continually losing power and needing to acquire gps satellites. The dealership did conclude that the battery was at fault for the no-start issues and replaced the battery, unfortunately, that did not solve the issues and they continue to arise on a consistent basis thereafter. The other issues could not be replicated and were recommended that the phones connected via apple carplay be updated & repaired, the phones that were connected were already up to date in the ios version, and the Hondailink version, and were using apple oem cables. These issues were not solved as well, and could not be replicated by the dealership. Most recently, the vehicle had a hard time starting and refused to accelerate above 40 mph.

While driving multiple warning lights came on stating braking system failure, collision system failure, check engine lights , emissions system problem, brake hold system failure etc. There were no lights prior. I was at highway speeds when all of this took place which could have turned out to be rather disasterous. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that this was caused by the drain of sunroof being clogged from the elements. The drainage system backed up and water entered front cabin. Dealer states this is not covered under warranty. Even though this is a near brand new car.

Engine suddenly lost power on highway 5 times in last 6 months and would not restart for approximately 12 hours. To lose power at 75 mph on a busy highway risks accidents and injury to driver, passengers, and potentially other drivers on the road. Tow truck drivers and passengers are witnesses to this happening. We have had it towed to the dealer each time and they cannot find any problem. No warning prior to the problem.

1. The dealership assembled a new engine and pulse control module. 2. 1st issue was the car wasn’t in safe condition to drive due to knocking noise. 2nd issue is that the pedal wasn’t working properly as had to pull over to the shoulder and then the car wouldn’t leave from a parked state, brake light was on, and engine overheating. 3rd issue got car back with a smoke/cigarette/burn odor and jittering / stuttering when put in a stopped state transitioning to a moving state. 3. Dealership got a new engine for the 1st issue and I picked up the car in September 2022 but upon driving it for the first time since the 1st issue, experienced pedal not functioning to accelerate and engine overheating causing me to get car towed back to dealership on 09/20/22. 10/02/22 picked up the car from the dealership and I noticed a burn / smoke odor left on the car. Let me be clear that neither I nor anyone who has stepped foot in my vehicle smokes so this was quire alarming. Also, while driving it I noticed my car started to jerk / stutter / hesitate whenever it was in a non-moving position transitioning to a moving position. 10/10/22 I returned my car back to the dealership due to the 3rd issue regarding the odor and jittering / stuttering issue. 11/30/22 picked up the car as the dealership informed me the car was ready with the issues resolved, however upon getting the car back and driving it back home I experienced the same issues and they didn’t resolve the odor problem. Even after the fact of bringing it to the dealership for the past 4 months, more issues keep surfacing making it more and more dangerous to handle my vehicle and I’m not trustworthy of it nor my dealership that’s been attempting to resolve issues under my active car warranty.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Hr-v. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed the instrument cluster warning lights were flickering. On another occasion while driving 65 mph, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the parking brake warning light was also flashing. The contact released the parking brake and the brakes locked up and the vehicle drove off the road onto gravel. There were no reported injuries. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The contact was unable to drive above 50 mph due to the vehicle shaking abnormally. The contact called the local dealer however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and an unknown module was reset. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was then taken to autonation Honda roseville (230 automall dr, roseville, CA 95661) where the vehicle was diagnosed and the contact was informed that an unknown module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 3,654.

This is a continuation of NHTSA id number: 11463644. Secondary issue is minimal acceleration output when entering the freeways. At times, it can take between 20-30 seconds to get 0-60 mph - creating a very dangerous environment with the vehicles behind me braking hard to avoid crashing into my 2022 Honda Hr-v sport. American Honda denied my claim to replace ecu and repair body damage to the vehicle after examination.

On Friday, Dec 31, 2021 the car (2017 Honda Hr-v), without any warning, suddenly stalled in the middle of our residential street. Prior to this incident, I did not experience any indications that there was a problem with the car. The car was towed to a local Honda service center and upon inspection by one of their technicians it was determined that the car had a "broken flywheel" (the car is an automatic so this is not the correct term). Once repairs began I was contacted and informed that the broken flywheel had caused additional damage and the car now requires an entirely new engine. I purchased the car brand new in July 2017. In July 2020 I received a recall notification from Honda indicating that there were problems with the transmission and an entirely new transmission was installed with all costs covered by the manufacturer. Now six months later and only three years after purchasing the car, I am being told I need an entirely new engine. The car is currently at the service center and should be available for inspection. I have not authorized any work related to the engine because I am collecting information on my rights as a consumer and my options in regards to repair of the car. I strongly believe that the flywheel and engine repairs are manufacturer defects and need to be addressed and costs covered by Honda.

The SUV decelerated rapidly while driving uphill on the grapevine in los angeles. I was driving 70 mph and then the SUV's speed just started to drop and I was pressing down hard on the accelerator. This may haven been an issue with the engine or the transmission. My daughter and I could have been seriously injured or killed since we were surrounded by cars going 70+ mph and no one could have expected our SUV to decelerate so quickly on this stretch of highway.
