The camera associated with the Honda sensing features has failed, resulting is multiple warning lights and non functioning safety features.

The whole radar that controls collision mitigation, steering, lane departure, etc. Quit working. The car is only a few years old. All these lights go off in the car often times causing the car not to work properly. When we went to the dealership, the maintenance man said that this is a common issue due to the fact that they put the radar system in a location that gets overheated. We filed a claim, but they only will pay for a small portion of it to be repaired. Many of these cars have the same issue.

My car loosing power the screen is black there is nothing showing on the dashboard this has been happening since August 2025 the SUV accelerate while I am driving or braking even when all of the lane changing and braking systems are turn off this happens often whenever I am driving the vehicle. It feels like someone else is in control of my car.

Car has 40000miles, started posting warning for lane keeping, lane departure, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, and the car disabled all the features in adas, also posted brake system warning indicator. The Honda dealer diagnosis the multi-purpose camera failed. Car has low miles, and should not have failed this soon, and also creates dangers for the driver, the dashboard lights all these warning, quite concerning. Cost was also extremely expensive, over $2k to repair.

Keeps popping up my safety features has problems and says see my dealer but they said nothing is wrong with it and I have a picture.

Started vehicle and it lit up with every warning imaginable. Dealership said it's the Honda sensing unit is defective. After reviewing online, it certainly seems everyone's unit is defective. . Now we were quoted 3k to fix safety related stuff. Can't afford to fix so now, just driving it until it crashes! woohoo fun! and no recall!.

The Honda sensing camera in my Honda 2019 hrv malfunctioned while driving and no longer gives me the safety features of Honda sensing. The camera does not hold a long life span it seems and Honda is not willing to help with the replacement. I think it is unfair and unsafe to allow customers to operate and use a car where the safety features will just out of nowhere disengage risking my life and my families life. The vehicle was brought into the dealership and the cost for replacement is incredibly large.

My car has been brought in for service multiple times due to airbag issues. After the initial repair resembling of the car panels was not done correctly forcing me to bring back the vehicle. After this on another occasional a strange rattling noise began to happen while driving the vehicle. This was scheduled for service but then the noise went away. After this another airbag issue came up saying the vehicle had to be taken to the dealer. The dealer was inititally saying the issue could not be duplicated and I could pick up the vehicle. At this point I looked up recalls and found the recall regarding steering and that noises could be attributed to this. I ask the recall be performed and was told it could not be. Another issue was however found with the airbags and repaired. I was told to get vehicle as it was fine. Since then the noise has occurred on 3 seperate occasions. Additionally while driving with lane control the vehicle has 2 twice left lane on highway forcing me to correct. I feel things are being dealt with in a very dishonest way by Honda of America and it is instructing dealers to avoid correctly diagnoising issues and falsling claiming it cannot be duplicated to avoid itself costly repairs.

Honda sensing dash warning lights come on and off during driving which can create an unsafe situation. The Honda sensing dash warning lights were for road departure mitigation system problem, collision mitigation system problem, adaptive cruise control problem, and auto high-beam problem. Per galpin Honda, the Honda sensing camera failed and needs to be replaced.

The road assist / warning systems on dashboard malfunctioned, suddenly turning on and off, all at once. This caused a safety risk, by a startling distraction while driving, and worrisome stress while the car was at rest. The the problem was reproduced or confirmed by a dealer service rep who stated the car was unsafe to drive. They witnessed all warning lights, messages flashing on and off. This malfunction occurred, June 19-20, 2024. In retrospect, the break warning light would flash on for no reason and slightly break, or engine would stall or lose velocity while driving. The car is currently being serviced by the dealership. Their assessment is the front camera needs replaced. This car is under the warranty for mileage (not driven much during the pandemic), but due to the year, it is outside of warrenty. Obviously, the cause is not wear and tear, but a faulty camera. This is concerning, given the safety issue , should this be cause for a recall and repairs, including replacement part and services, the responsibility of the Honda company and not the car owner/driver.

I was driving and the car suddenly started shaking. The car began losing control and I came to a stop as a curb was hit. A further inspection revealed my cv joint was broken. I did not hit anything to cause the cv joint to be broken. Also the departure lane was not activated.

These system indicator lights repeatedly show on the dashboard. 1. Brake system 2. Acc lkas 3. Land departure problem 4. Some driver assist systems cannot operate: clean front windshield 5. Lane keeping assist problem lkas 6. Collision mitigation system problem 7. Road departure mitigation system problem 8. Auto high-beam problem 9. Adaptive cruise control problem I have taken the car to two different Honda dealerships for diagnostic. The mechanic speculated it 'could' be a battery issue so I purchased a new battery. The problems didn't resolve. Then the mechanic stated it 'could' be the camera system and if so, I would need to replace for $1800. I cannot afford to spend $1800 for speculation and there's no guarantee the problem is resolved. This is a serious issue with Hondas as I have read. This is not a wear-tear issue. This is a system issue and I don't feel I should have to spend $1800 on a system malfunction. It's not the windshield containing dirt or debris because I've had the windshield cleaned in hopes it would remedy the problem. The car is only 3-4 years old and I shouldn't be spending major dollars on any kind of system issue. This should be a recall effort since so many others have had the same complaints. The car is too new and it only has 53k miles on it. I'm the only person who drives the car mainly to and from work. I go out of state maybe twice per year so the car is not driven harshly. I also keep current with maintenance requirements. Paying $1800 for a faulty camera speculatively is a cruel way to make money off of purchasers. I'd like to have this issue considered as recall.

Almost all advanced safety features have stopped working including the ones selected and still others more such as lane keep assist, parking collision warning etc.

The car feels like the lane assist is on when its not. When you try to steer it jerks instead of smoothly turning especially on the highway when steering to the left. I feel it’s getting worse.

I have steering issues and it is worse in the colder weather. Like sticky steering. I noticed it soon after I bought the car and then it seemed to go away but now steering is weird all the time and I only have 9,000 miles on the car.

The warning signs popped up with those 2 safety features and said “see your dealer”, I took to the dealer and there was “nothing wrong”. On the dashboard warnings started to flash “brake” with nothing in it view and has attempted to even brake by itself with nothing in front of it or anything that could affect it. I then still had the 2 warning safety features pop up also so I took to the dealer for a second time and they said there was a problem with the battery and replaced it under warranty. The car was brand new and I had it for 6 months. After battery replacement that same week the car shut off twice by itself. The 6 months of owning the vehicle it has never done that mind you I’ve waited about 30 minutes a day for my daughter in the school pickup line and it has never once turned off. I took to the dealer and they said “nothing” was wrong with it. They said the vehicle kept coming out as cleared.

Purchased hrv new and at approximately 3900 miles all warning system lights starting flashing while I was driving. Took car home and checked oil and there was none at all. Put oil in and took to dealership who found the Honda manufacturer had not installed the oil filter properly and the car had sprayed oil across the undercarriage of the car while I was on the interstate. If the car had locked up while driving 70 mph due to no oil, my father, brother, and I would have been killed and may have injured/killed someone else. Since getting oil filter installed correctly and oil in the car, the collision and lane departure warnings continue to display periodically at the initial starting of the car saying the those systems have issues and to see the dealership. I have taken car to the dealership 3 times and once they connected it to a diagnostic machine which said "I had a code" and those codes were supposedly corrected, but the same warnings remain. It is not reproduceable and I have not been able to capture a pic of the occurrance. I believe running out of oil has damaged the warning systems and needs to be replaced or Honda should provide me a new car for my current car (10,700 miles).
