The sliding door does not open by remote and its "very hard" to open by the sliding door latch. Please provide further information.
Erratic power lock operation, intermittently lock would unlock by itself after locking by panel control or remote. Also, sliding door would open approximately 6" and remain open until vehicle was turned off. Then, would wait a few minutes and restart vehicle. Dealer notified, and and made some repairs. Nhtsa recalls #99 v 158 000/sliding door latch & #99 v 157 ooo/ throttle and linkages. On-going problem with dealer honoring. Recall notices; seeking help from NHTSA in this matter. Consumer needs to include dealer name, address and phone number.
If opening side sliding door, and when attempting to close it, it may or may not close. Dealers says they would have to adjust the sliding door strikers. Dealership has adjusted striker twice.
Consumer complained that due to manufacturer's design was unable to override electric door lock by using door handle. Design issue was a serious problem for disabled or elderly persons to reach across their shoulders to lift/move manual unlock switch. The lock/unlock switch for the doors does not operate when electrical power is not available. The consumer also stated that the switch should not unlock all dooors. That is, should unlock only those doors that the consumer desires to unlock.

The rebound feature on the automatic sliding door did not work as specified in the brochure, when the door handle on the rear passenger side was accidentally pulled while passenger was entering the vehicle the door began to close and hit the passenger in the shoulder, door continued to close. Nlm.
Passenger side sliding door does not automatically rebound most of the time due to design flaw. Yh.
Electronic doors close to easily, key to sensitive, child/adult can easily be squeezed in doorwell, told by sales that doors would operate like garage or elevator doors.
Problems with transmission slippage on a 1999 Honda Odyssey. The problem was found during a major performance of service where the dealer found that the transmission fluid was burned. There was intermittent slippage, which eventually became worse, even after the part was replaced. Also the automatic doors did not work at times.
The automatic sliding doors on the Honda Odyssey are advertised as having the ability to stop when confronted with an obstacle , but they clearly do not and will easily crush anything that gets in their path. This is a horrible design for any vehicle but unthinkable and unforgivable in a vehicle designed to transport children.

Sliding doors would fail to suction tight, door cannot be readily opened. Would struggle to get it open. Handle had came off twice in owner's hand. At dealer's 1st time, consumer was charged to replace handle and check door. The 2nd time, suction tape was replaced, but it failed after awhile. Vehicle is going back for a third time for same problem.

Automatic doors stay open and will not close. Consumer switched to maunal and door will not open. Consumer has taken vehicle to dealer 3 tmes ,dealer has replaced latch assembly with special tool with conjunctions switches, and also aligned conjunction switches.
