The contact owns a 2007 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while parked on several occasions the vehicle did not start. The contact stated that she turned the key fob forward and slowly turned it back the vehicle started. The vehicle was taken dealer where it was diagnosed that the ignition switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred after approximately three weeks. The vehicle was towed to the same dealer where it was diagnosed that the mechanical part to the ignition switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the contact has yet to take possession of the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.
2007 Honda Odyssey lx purchased Dec 6, 2007. Approximately 45% of the time according to my logs the vehicle does not crank on the first attempt. Safety issue concern the potential to requiring the starting of the vehicle to leave a dangerous location, or potential life threatening environment.
