On Saturday, may 24, 2025. I had my foot on the break as I was turning into the driveway of the building. Suddenly the car engine reved and the car acceletated toward the building wall. As this was happening I began to pump on the break and the car only stopped because it it hit the curb. This cause my passenger and me to lunge forward. My passenger hurt their wrist putting their hands on the dash as they braced for impact and I hit my forehead on the stearing wheel. . The airbags did not deploy. My cars front bumper was pushed in at the bottom and out on the right side. Thank god there was no one walking on the side walk,. The car could have crashed iinto a person or the building. There were no warning indicators . There was no police called since no one was seriously injured and the only damage done was to my car. I then carfully and slowly drove the car home and parked it. I had to wait till Tuesday to take the car to the mechanic. He kept it for 2 days and could not find anything wrong. This was very scary and I am afraid the continue driving this car. This had never happenef before. I would like the car checked for any recalls and inspected by the dealer.
While braking at 50+mph, the steering wheel starts to shake violently. The car currently has 58,000 miles on it. This has been occurring for over a year. We have had the tires rotated and balanced, the rotors and break pads are good. This is becoming a safety hazard and Honda needs to do something about this.
When driving on highway roads @55+ mph and applying brakes, the steering wheel and van begin to shake and vibrate violently to the point of loss of control of the vehicle. This behavior began around 25k miles and has increased in occurance and intesity. Online research suggests bad rotors but Honda refuses to recall. Defective rotors should not be the resonsibility of the owner. This issue needs to be fixed immediately, it is extremely dangerous!!.
When driving on highway @ 55mph and applying brakes, the steering shakes/vibrates violently. We only have 39k miles on the car. We live in south-eastern connecticut and we don't drive fast anywhere. After doing some research Honda has had bad rotors and they refuse to replace the part on their time and cost. Online forums indicate Honda have redesigned the rotor, which has eliminated the problem. This issues has nothing to do with our driving style but with our fault fart. I am requesting your supporting in asking Honda to do a voluntary recall/replace on this faulty part.
Vehicle shakes violently when applying brakes. Warped rotors time after time. Replacement last a few months. Way to many people are having this issue with this particular vehicle. Please look into this! I truly feel there is a design flaw.
Car sustained $8700. 00 worth of damage to nose of car. Airbag failed to deploy. Wife sustained fractured rib.
American Honda motor company - manufacturers defect with the van's rear suspension, resulting in the van's alignments being uncorrectable since the date of purchase. American Honda has known about this alignment and suspension defect issue with the 2014 Honda Odyssey's and has chosen to hide the design defect from the public. Honda dealers know there is an issue but there are no authorize american Honda oem certified fixes to the problem. The Honda dealers defer, that there is nothing they can do until Honda issues a fix to the suspension/alignment issue. The result, unsafe vehicle and the added continual expenses that are a direct result of american Honda's concealment of the issues with the vans. Quick searches online, document many other Honda Odyssey owners with reported identical issues, as well as other Honda owners (keegan v. American Honda class action certified). American Honda's own actions confirm and indicated that they recognized and acknowledge the issues I presented with the van and my claim. American Honda directed me to bring the van to a Honda dealer for inspection autopark Honda. The van was reviewed, determined defective, and unfixable with any readily available oem Honda parts as verified by a recognized Honda certified ase master mechanic. If the van was manufactured to american Honda's own oem specifications and standards, then any oem Honda parts would readily be able to be replaced with the defective oem rear suspension parts and correct the alignment issues at once. This is not the case. The vehicle by american Honda's own admission is not fixable with any oem Honda parts. American Honda's own findings confirm, validate, verify and support the facts that the vans inherent manufacturer's defects exists in the rear suspension of the van and validates my initial and open claim since 6-7-14 inv hocs332080, at 317 miles.
