1 Transmission Not Engage problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2020

When the vehicle is parked, the head unit malfunctions and stays on, especially after being used for apple car play. It has left us stranded and had to be towed once, two other times, jumped as a brand new vehicle. More importantly, the transmission has issues. Between 20-30 mph, the vehicle disengages with the transmission, loses power, then clunks back into gear. It makes the driver and passengers unsteady, and causes unanticipated slow downs and speed ups. Adult passengers in my vehicle have yelled out in confusion over the loss of power and speed. When the vehicle is stopped, it sometimes hesitated to go into first gear, and then clunks into first, experienced as a neutral drop as if one is driving a manual transmission. Overall, the transmission is clunky, and leads to unexpected vehicle movements, unsteady feedback, and extreme discomfort and worry.
