1 Forward Collision Avoidance problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2025

The contact owns a 2020 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that the traction control, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist system, and road departure mitigation warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact continued to drive the vehicle as it passed state inspection. While driving approximately 65-70 mph, the cruise control suddenly failed, requiring the contact to manually steer the vehicle. Additionally, the collision mitigation braking system, battery, and abs warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the abs light illuminated after the brake pads were recently replaced, and the adas calibration was not performed. The vehicle was taken back to a dealer, who informed the contact that the monocular camera burned out due to windshield brackets; however, the contact stated the failures occurred prior to the windshield replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
