The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact became aware that the driver’s side sideview mirror displayed an extremely distorted image, which severely compromised the sideview visibility. The contact also stated that the mirror had previously been replaced under NHTSA campaign number: 23v174000 (visibility). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the driver’s side mirror. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 20,000.

2 Visibility problem

Failure Date: 04/05/2023

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that he became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: NHTSA campaign number: 23v174000 (visibility), however, the parts to do the recall repair were not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue.
