Six problems related to other fuel system fuel gauge have been reported for the 1998 Honda Passport. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
After starting the vehicle fuel gauge would read wrongly. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.
Fuel gauge does not read accurately. Nlm.
Fuel gauge sensor failed. Yh.
Fuel sending unit / fuel pump failed.
Would either be waiting at stop sign/light when vehicle, for no reason, would shut down. Vehicle can be restarted. Had taken vehicle to dealership, and was informed by mechanic that ecm would need to be updated along with fuel sending unit.
Fuel gauge neddle malfunctioned. Yh.
