1 Other Fuel System Fuel Gauge problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2006

: the contact stated the gas gauge stopped operating. The service dealer was contacted, who expressed that there were other vehicle owners with the same problem. There were no repairs made.

2 Other Fuel System Fuel Gauge problem

Failure Date: 07/09/2004

The fuel gauge does not work properly. Reads empty at least 11 gallons before truly is empty. This is a manufacturer's defect. Running out of gas is not safe as well as the harm it does to the vehicle. Many complaints from other consumers about the same problem.

3 Other Fuel System Fuel Gauge problem

Failure Date: 06/28/2004

When fuel gauge reads full fuel in gas tank will drop to half rapidly.

4 Other Fuel System Fuel Gauge problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2004

Gas gauge is consistently reading empty - even when fuel tank is full. Appears to be fuel sending unit mentioned on isuzu rodeo site as well.

5 Other Fuel System Fuel Gauge problem

Failure Date: 03/10/2004

My fuel gauge has started fluctuating wildly. The most common thing though, is that it reads out of gas shortly after a fill up. This is the same model as an isuzu rodeo and the problems are duplicated there. I want to make sure a recall happens and that it covers the Hondas as well.

6 Other Fuel System Fuel Gauge problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2002

Your technical service bulletin #202, of Feb 16, 2002, explains a problem I have with my 1999 Honda Passport, where the fuel gauge reads an empty or low fuel warning, even when it is not in danger of being empty. The correction will cost in excess of $500. 00. This is an outrageous condition and repair to require the owner to cover, when it is obvious it was a defect when manufactured. Please help to correct manufacturer over sights like this when selling a long-term item like a car or truck. I am very happy with my vehicle otherwise, and would hate to help blemish the reputation of Honda and it's products. But this is unacceptable as a failure due to normal wear and tear.

7 Other Fuel System Fuel Gauge problem

Failure Date: 04/07/2002

The fuel gauge reads empty on my vehicle even when the tank is completely full. This condition has existed for over 60,000 miles and I have not had it serviced because the dealer wants $700 for parts and labor and informed me that they will be using the exact same parts that might fail again.

8 Other Fuel System Fuel Gauge problem

When fuel gauge reads full the tanks fuel will drop to half rapidly. Cause of the failure is undetermined at this time.

9 Other Fuel System Fuel Gauge problem

Consumer noticed the fuel gauge always read empty. The consumer contacted the dealer about the problem and was told the problem could be fixed at the owners expense. The consumer felt this was a manufacturers defect and should not have to pay anything. Please provide details.
