Body problem #4

I have has consistent problems with the braking system. It will brake and/or show the warning when nothing is there. The jerking of this has caused me to get in an accident June 2020 while moving to a new duty station. It was raining and there were no other cars on this highway thankfully. It was scary and I was even going below the speed limit. This caused my car to become nearly uncontrollable. My children and I were fortunately unharmed, but pretty shaken up. I had everything repaired and the same thing still happens to this day. That was only about 3 months after I purchased my car. I hear a lot of rattling as if something has come undone inside. Many times when I am driving I can feel the car jerk to a certain side or forward. That issue almost caused another accident in Feb 2021. I was backing out of a parking spot with plenty of room between myself and the other cars. My braking warning came on and it stopped my car. Then immediately it jerked back aggressively and almost hit a car behind me. Soon after I managed to back out and shift into drive, it jerked forward while stopping then jerking again. Although it is not all of the time, it has happened enough to cause accidents and almost a lot more. I think the 2019 Honda Passport should be looked into more and corrected. As these issues should not be happening.

Body problem #5

When SUV is parked the hatchback closes on its own w/o the keyfob or button on hatch being pressed. This has happened about six times. Not able to replicate.

Body problem #6

As per other recalls of the 2019 Honda Passport we are having the same symptoms. The windshield area along both a pillars are popping and making noise. This is a problem we have been having, finally looking it up on internet we found that other Passports of this year are being recalled for faulty weld spots. We have had this noise sitting at a red light, and clear good weather conditions and also while traveling down the road.

Body problem #7

The contact owns a 2019 Honda Passport. The contact stated that after the vehicle was purchased, he had been hearing abnormal sounds coming from either the hood or the windshield of the vehicle while driving. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was relating the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 19v784000 (structure) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.

Body problem #8

American Honda has issued a recall of 2019 Passports due to a life threatening, unrepairable welding issue in the body of the vehicle. The prescribed remedy is a new vehicle as the issue cannot be repaired per Honda. Notice as given on 11/08/2019 but as of 11/28/2019, dealers have refused to conduct an inspection or to affirm that my vehicle does or does not have the welding error. Meanwhile, absent a replacement vehicle or an inspection, I fear for my safety and that of my family and passengers. It is cruel punishment during the holidays to have a brand new, expensive vehicle that may be unsafe.

Body problem #9

Loose plastic trim above driver's side headlight. It moves about 1/4 inch. This will flex in the turbulence and break in time. It could then fall off the vehicle and strike a pedestrian or another vehicle. The Passport was sold new in this condition.
