1 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 11/08/2025

Front camera that is needed for all of the lane sensing, cruise control, lane keep assist malfunctions. This camera is needed to operate all of these safety systems. I’ve seen many blogs with drivers saying they have a similar issue. The fix is $1800.

2 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 10/20/2025

Vehicle has frequent and persistent “front camera fault” warnings appearing on the dashboard, which result in continuous alerts and the disabling of key safety features including the brake system, collision mitigation braking system (cmbs), lane keeping assist system (lkas), adaptive cruise control (acc), and road departure mitigation (rdm). These warnings occur under all driving conditions, including clear weather and unobstructed roads. The dashboard fault warnings appear on nearly every vehicle start, and all Honda sensing feature indicators flash continuously while the vehicle is in operation. Because continuous multiple warning lights flash on dashboard, it is difficult to determine which alerts are genuine and which are false. This is thus a serious safety concern that warrants a formal recall. A diagnostic scan by dealer informs an error code of u3000-49 that is front camera needs to be replaced at a cost of $1,900, excluding a non-refundable diagnostic charge of approximately $190. Due to the exorbitant cost if no extended warranty purchased, owners reporting this do not proceed with the repair and continue to experience this ongoing safety issue.

3 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 07/30/2025

I had 5 lights comes on 2 days ago. Airbag system problem, collision mitigation system problem, road departure mitigation problem, high beam problem, and adaptive cruise control problem. The dealership said that it was a camera issue and everything except the air bag issue is covered with my warranty. It’s currently in the shop getting fixed. Also currently has a recall for the fuel pump that they never have the part. Still waiting to see if they are able to get that part. This recall has been there since 12/2021 and they haven’t been able to get the parts.

4 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 03/12/2025

The contact owns a 2019 Honda Passport. The contact stated that while driving at slow speeds, the transmission was shifting hard. The adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, transmission, and auto high beam warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where a transmission flush was performed; however, the failure persisted. The dealer performed a diagnostic scan and retrieved dtc: u0104 and u0104-00. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 56,200.

5 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 03/10/2025

Approximately a month ago several warning lights started turning on. These included adaptive cruise control collision mitigation lane keep assist road departure mitigation high beam detection when I brought the car to the dealer for a diagnosis they informed me the windshield camera and possibly the radar as well would need to be replaced. The products were not under warranty and the cost to replace them is exorbitant. These are vital components of the safety system in this car and should be replaced at the dealer cost.

6 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2025

Upon engine start, dashboard lights appear that warn of the following safety issues detected: - collision mitigation braking system - lane keeping assist system - adaptive cruise control - road departure mitigation diagnostic scan shows an error code of u3000-49 indicating a front camera issue. The error codes began in spring 2025 and are disturbing making driving less secure but it is my primary vehicle.

7 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 07/20/2024

Adaptive cruise control; automatic emergency braking; blind spot warning lane departure warning; lane keeping assistance; parking collision warning.

8 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 07/12/2024

Warning system failure… all lights lit and systems did not work. Car was drivable but with no safety mitigation systems. Happened suddenly while driving on hwy. Displayed the following warnings: transmission system problem blind spot info system problem power steering system problem emissions system problem vehicle stability assist problem hill start assist problem traffic stability assist problem road departure mitigation system problem rear tailgate did latch not working the d for drive was blinking these safety systems put my driving at risk as I rely on them for safe driving, lane change . . Etc brought to dealer for second time and they insist I leave the vehicle on so they can check the error codes. Even had ready made sign “ do not turn vehicle off” for dashboard. Seems like significant problem and I’m not the only one. Evidenced by chatter on Honda web forums. My question is, why do all system failure lights activate? why can’t they determine the failure after car is turned off. Isn’t that the purpose of fail codes? why do all safety functions fail when one issue arises. Evidence points to a software bug that effects all these functions (yes including the rear latch) dealer recommends replace the abs module but is not sure. Last time they replaced the speed sensor. Seems they are unsure. Needs software fix !.

9 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2022

I have had the car for three years and its never been in a collusion. Within the past two months the forward radar sensor failed which cost 1500 to replace. This part makes it so all cruise control and auto lane change functionality break. In addition a month later the gas lid broke and emissions were getting into the fuel tank. Again not major incident but I did observe that the gas tank top is very flimsy and moves a lot of when refueling. This cost me another 763 dollars. Both these issues cause major safety issues and should not be occurring on a three year old vehicle.

10 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 05/24/2022

3x in the last 6months my Passport has failed to start after the auto stop at idle has engaged. The dealership said the battery is fine and one technician just said “disable the feature “. Today when adaptive cruise control was engaged, the car increased in speed from the set 72 to over 80mph. I also emailed Honda corp and their response was to see a dealer and did not acknowledge if the auto stop/start issue was known for other vehicles.

11 Adaptive Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 12/04/2019

When driving this vehicle on a two lane road, the vehicle will give false forward collision alerts from oncoming vehicles in the opposing lane. When driving on a four lane highway with adaptive cruise control engaged, vehicles driving slower in the lane to your left will cause the vehicle to slow down suddenly (there are no vehicles in front ). Both of these issues happen intermittently and can cause an unsafe driving condition when triggered. The vehicle has been at a dealer service department on five occasions. The dealer is unable to resolve the issue.
